Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Cruiserette pointed out Ben Stiller eating lunch at table next to us at Hotel Arts in Barcelona 2 days ago.

I had no idea who he was - I am not really into human adulation - only famous people I recognise are pennygirl, Tony Whocock and Yogi Bear!

Are you distorting peoples' names Crushing Effect!:lol:

Brisbane Lions in SYD VA Lounge earlier.

I am not sure what they are doing in SYD Lounge at 8:00pm on a Friday night. And I vaguely recall someone saw them in BNE Lounge earlier in the day. Again not sure if this was AFL team or reserves. Some were drinking wine which I thought was off limits if they are going to play a match this weekend.

Mine would have to be Steve Waugh, many years ago now on an Ansett flight to Hamilton Island I think.

Second to that was a QR flight to Tokyo last December, and a former Brazil World cup winner was on board.

Am currently in EK first lounge in DXB and Roger Federer just walked in with his family.
They are sitting behind me in the dining area.
Guess he is heading home early after crashing out of Wimbeldon.

I take it he's not living in Switzerland then, otherwise that's a very long way of doing it ;)

In March this year I took my son to meet KISS for his 21st present. We met all the members of KISS and they even sang happy birthday at the pre concert sound check. The next morning in the VA lounge we met Vince Neil from Mötley Crüe. They supported KISS with Thin Lizzy on their OZ tour. On the flight back to BNE Vince Neil and his girlfriend, Rain Andreani, were the only passengers in J on VA whilst we looked on from row 3. Meeting KISS was a highlight (don't know who was more star suck or excited, my son or me) and meeting Vince Neil was a bonus.

That's a great story  My kids have done a couple of Kiss "farewell" concerts with me over the years and like you, not sure who would be more excited.

Richard E Grant is sitting at the table next to us in the Galleries Lounge T LHR T5. Has finished his cereal and moved on to a hot breakfast.

I know one person in Asia who at least locally in that nation is famous.

Their perception is that they always have to look 'happy' or 'neutral' in public because someone will otherwise photograph them, including in an airline lounge. And then there is the innumerable rounds of handshakes and 'may we have our picture taken with you?' routine.

Not for this little black duck thank you, irrespective of money. On occasional visits to airline loyalty club lounges, I like to eat cereal or anything else in the comfort of being Mr Anon Y Mous.
