Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Big double header today.

Tommy Emmanuel on a flight Vienna to Rome. Had a nice chat with him; we were the only Aussies in J. He was in town for half a dozen shows, looks to be enjoying life.

Then walking through terminal 3 at Rome literally bumped into Pierce Brosnan. No harm done on either side.

From memory he had a cult following in the lounge before the flight as well.

haha, yes he did ;)

I also met up with the famous JohnK in the VA lounge in SYD before that very flight :p

Every time I run into JohnK at the airport I always seem to be granted a bit of bonus time for a drink or two by Qantas.

Surprisingly he was flying that other airline on the day in question. Needless to say we were all delayed :o

Garry Lyon from The Footy Show in the Perth VA lounge at the moment :)

Not surprising since the AFL footy show was telecast in WA last night, no still didn't watch it.

I have been on same plane as Johnk twice, the first one was a little delayed and the 2nd one was a lot delayed, I don't plan on a 3rd time.

I was on the same plane as a famous singer in 2009, and when the group got one it seemed like they were in the music industry, another passenger said hello to the singer and then I had to google it it was Toni Childs a singer who had been off for a few years but was back doing an Australian tour, actually liked a few of her songs so I downloaded 2 after that encounter.

I am sure I have been on the same plane with a few other famous people, but unless the speak, I would probably miss them. I have definitely been on the same plane as other infamous AFFers. :p

Had a chat and shared a joke with Willie Nelson Sydney international airport a long time ago.

Met Buzz Aldrin once in Chicago, real nice guy too.

The thing I forgot to mention about Doug Cameron, was the use of the hot towel. I always try to use the towel on my face first and then my hands. But I notice everyone else invariably use it in reverse. I can only think of the germs being transferred from hands to mouth. Anyone Doug Cameron was also a face then hands person.

Just had Doug Cameron on QF752. Of course, I out my fist in the air and said "solidarity comrade".

Two weeks ago at the end of the Parliamentary week which saw Rudd replace Gilliard as PM. On the Friday night VA flight from CBR to MEL Tony Abbott was sitting on one end of row 2 and myself on the other. Tony did not look happy with the change over to Rudd two days before. Julie Bishop was in Row 1. Didn't realise until I stood up at the end of the flight that Bill Shorten was sitting back in economy.
