Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Peter Dutton in 1A on VA990 BNE-SYD tonight. Boarding was called earlier than usual (around 7:10-7:15 for a 7:50 departure). Almost makes one wonder if they can deliberately start boarding early to minimize the chances that VIPs are late.
Could it be also you don’t want a late passenger and miss curfew.

Do any of you try to get selfies with "celebrities" you bump into?

I've taken a selfie with Steve Wozniak when he and I were walking off an international J flight many years ago. And a couple of years ago, got as selfie with Julia Gillard who was standing behind me while queuing up to board a flight.

I also sat behind Alan Joyce once on a Syd-Mel flight in J just after the pandemic - he was in front row, I was in 2nd row. Every flight that day was delayed except for that flight. I didn't try to get a selfie lol.

I thought that our AFFers would have come across many famous people over the years. However, looking over these posts, seemingly very few. 🤔

Back in my younger days I met or saw many "famous" people. That is if you call prominent politicians famous. Included chats with Sitiveni Rambuka twice and Laisenia Quaraise both within 2 weeks of the coups to become PM of Fiji.
The period from the mid 60s until mid 90s was the time scale. But well before AFF.

His father? They're doing a show together tonight and I assume that was one of the people he was dining with.
For anyone who doesn't know Jack Whitehall (comedian/actor) and his father, Michael (agent to the stars), and hasn't seen it already on Netflix, Travels With My Father is a great laugh.
