Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Quite a few years ago, I said much the same thing. I was excoriated for my opinion. Most of the ‘famous’ people named I’ve still never heard of….
Apart from the odd pollie sitting in the front couple of seats who I don't count as famous, the only really famous person I came across was sitting next to Khamal on a flight back to Perth from Sydney. I shook hands with him, told him I liked his work, and left it that.

I have just been reminded of an incident on our Asian trip in early 1984. We used Hong Kong as a base and visited China,South Korea and Japan. After each country we came back to Hong Kong for a couple of days. We took Mrsdrron's mother a nd our son. Booking 2 rooms was going to be quite expensive in Hong Kong but on the advice of our brilliant travel agent (our niece) we booked a junior suite at the Regent Hotel which was cheaper than 2 rooms at other hotels we were looking at. They got to know us well. On our 4th and last visit I was told that they had no junior suites available but I hope you are happy with our substitute room. It was their second largest suite and ginormous.
At breakfast that last morning they seated a VIP next to us. She had a large hat on so no way to see her face. But a manager came over and profusely apologised - "i'm sorry miss Bassey but your room xx_x is not available just yet." It was Shirley Bassey and she was sitting on the bench seat right next to me. I quietly told the others to take their time with breakfast.
The day before we had been rung and told the room came with a Rolls Royce transfer so what time would you like it. When we arrived at Kai Tak the driver asked business or first class check in sir. I replied that this time we had decided to fly down the back.

They're comedy performers you say? Maybe The Project clip is missing some context.
Jack Whitehall is a comedian/actor. His father, Michael, is a former theatrical agent who has represented Nigel Havers, Colin Firth, Judi Dench and Daniel Day-Lewis (amongst others). Michael is known for his exceedingly dry/sarcastic wit, no-nonsense attitude, and his snobbish and grumpy (but endearing) persona. Idolising Winston Churchill, Michael is also a well-known supporter of the Conservatives and was an advocate for Brexit. Jack's mother, Hillary, was one of Michael's clients prior to their marriage.

Michael frequently shows genuine affection for Jack in their Netflix series, and it's this father-son dynamic that has been a major part of Michael's public image in more recent years, with audiences largely enjoying Michael’s no-nonsense approach to life juxtaposed against Jack's more free-spirited, comedic style.
