Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Its not me but my mum was flying SIN-MEL on SQ in Business with a cricket team, I think it was Sri Lanka, she had a nice chat with them but had to ask who they were.

Currently in the Qantas F Lounge in Sydney - Bob Hawke is sitting behind me and Michael Kirby hurried past, after having been paged as he was about to miss his flight.

Apparently, Michael Kirby makes a point of only flying steerage and not accepting upgrades!! No qualms about the FLounge, it seems.

I actually think thats what we should expect if a sitting judge or politician. I think there's a strong argument that the CL or the club or regular free upgrades are a form of gift or inducement that wouldn't otherwise be allowed. Earned status is a different thing.

However now hes retired he can do what he likes imho.

I know everyone in those situations does it but I do find it very problematic.

Andy Lee in MEL J lounge yesterday (as in Hamish & Andy) again.

Stephen Conroy in seat in front of me Syd-Mel yesterday - not a celebrity in know, but somewhat "famous" I guess - and looking quite happy that the opposition have released a lemon of a broadband policy!

Almost forgot.. Xavier Rudd was on a MEL-HBA VA flight on the evening of April 4. He was late boarding too so everyone knew when they announced him over the PA :)

Sorry thought that was a slang name for our mate Kevin07.... luckily I did google him. Despite this I still haven't heard of him. I am sure at times I don't live in the real world.

You're not alone - I thought it was one of Kevins' sons (now I know they're Nicholas and Marcus.

I had to Google Xavier Rudd but it still doesn't help me - haven't heard of him before now. Looks like he was playing at a festival on 5th April down in Tassie, so he was going down for it - thus he needed to be on the flight.
