We did not make it to the lounge, however we may make merry. After one more sleeps we will see everyone tomorrow for a grand day of excess (except luggage of course). Sleep well and be good to your livers.

A lovely evening was had.

While I doubt Jessica and co staying at the Hilton made it back before the executive lounge closed, after a quick 8 minute trip home I am now comfortably sitting on the couch enjoying a glass of 2011 GSM waiting for my washing to finish.

See those of you who are coming in the morning!

Label.....? For the GSM I mean...

Thanks John.

Sue came home from hospital this morning and now OK other than being very washed out. She has two days to recover before we head to Melbourne enroute Singapore.

That's great to hear Bill!

While I'm disappointed you two can't make this one, I look forward to catching up with both of you when you're in perfect health! :)

Tim Smith (Welcome to Tim Smith Wines - TimSmithWines). A lovely wine from the Barossa.

The Mataro is the dominant grape in this one, so it's actually Mataro Grenache Shiraz. Very drinkable, and good value for the price (about $25).

Fireworks have welcomed me back to my hotel up here in Paddington. Been on every night this week at about this time. No idea why.

SWMBO has pulled out a 2004 Bin 407 for dinner tomorrow night. I hope it is still ok.

JessicaTam, I also forgot to check on dinner numbers. I'll try to remember to ask in the morning.

Other than that, foxtel has that stupid Nick Cage/Megan Ryan movie on, where she closes her eyes and rides her bike with no hands and is promptly run over by a truck. ARGH!!

I heard them at home. No idea what they're for though.

Ok I'll bring the 05 389 ;)

10pm fireworks have become regular in Syd recently. Last night we also had a 1030 set as well.
I can mostly see them from my balcony.

Tis becoming a Penfolds dinner. disappointed I am flying back.

I can see a common interest, will be good to catch up tomorrow...

I look forward to it.

If I wasn't subject to LAGs restrictions I'd be tempted to bring some goodies. Maybe I'll have to find a decent wine store in Adelaide instead! :)

I'll bring the 2005 st henri if you come for dinner :)

Great warm up to the main event . I have to admit I'm a bit " shady " after a few beers and a very nice Shiraz . Bring on breakfast !

Now I am disappointed that I am missing tomorrows soirée, particularly with medhead and shintaro10x's wine choices.

Just got back to my room at the Doubletree Beijing from dinner, cracked open a nice cold Harbin and sat down to catch up on the thread.

Sounds like the weekend will be a ball, and I'm disappointed to be missing it.

My only consolation is I'm visiting the Great Wall tomorrow, and the Forbidden City Sunday, so I guess that will go someway for making up for it.

Have a great time!

Thanks John.

Singapore on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Hanoi on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights then back to Singapore for Sunday night. (So no we won't be there on Friday)
It is great to hear Sue is feeling better and you will be able to continue trip.

I get into Singapore around 9:30pm on Friday night and have a 6:00am flight then next day. I will more than likely let my luggage go to keeper and try to get out to Geylang for a Carlsberg or 2 and some lamb chops if I can find them again. Back to airport around 2:00am-3:00am to collect luggage from keeper and check-in for MH flight.

Enjoy your trip and I will more than likely see both of you at Ozfest anyway....

A nice mild morning here in Adelaide, some light breeze which is quite refreshing after a warm day yesterday and last night. Going to be a cracker of a day today, off to the airport shortly for my day trip to Sydney domestic & international terminals... The things us aff'ers get up too :):)

Poor start to day - arrived local station 3:55 to find power was out to the train lines as far as Parkdale; now running 35 minutes late.

Bummer. Trains suck when they don't work as they should. Hope the rest of your schedule remains intact.
