Well there goes sitting together in the middle...

They might have a setup in either rows 1 & 2 or 2 & 3 where a wall could come down making those a double / connected bed, similar to how EY does it.

Or, the seat itself may be wide enough that when set up, it could be a double bed (i.e. everyone has a double bed).

Have run up some extra Kris miles ahead of this product getting wings.

Let us hope that they do not do what they did when Suites came in and not have it as a Saver Redemption option.

Otherwise you will need $$$$$$$$$$ rather than points.

I think with these new Suites, either they are only available for award redemption on Standard Rates, or not at all.

Given AusBT advised that SIA want the first new A380 to go to Sydney (to allow daily rotation I guess):

https://www.ausbt.com.au/singapore-airlines-wants-new-airbus-a380-for-sydney-in-october

The flight candidates (currently already A380) are:

SIN-SYD: SQ221/SQ231
SYD-SIN: SQ222/SQ232

So I suggest people who are thinking of trying out the new Suites, to just book these flights in the hope that they will be swapped to the new Suites.

If you only have points for 1 flight, my guess would be SQ221/SQ232 combination. SQ231 leaves SIN quite late already (00:45).

I'm praying it is SQ232!!!

Maybe they will only make one Suite available for redemption at the Saver level, perhaps not every day / every flight. This will basically make it impossible for anyone currently to get two Saver Suites seats on the same flight, forcing one Saver + one Standard / Full.

The other alternative is like a LH model where only elite members have access to the inventory, or perhaps to Saver level redemptions (for example, SQ KF Silver, Gold and PPS can redeem Suites at Saver level, up to a limit per flight; everyone else can only redeem at Standard or Full). They could use this model and make it complete lock out, i.e. only SQ KF elite members can redeem in Suites; non-members and non-elites cannot.

SQ already have a slight buffer in the points costs already going up, even if they have given up collecting YQ.

Looking at the current schedule, looks like the A380 rotation is (summer schedule):

- SQ221/SQ232
SQ221: SIN-SYD 20:40 - 7:40+1
SQ232: SYD-SIN 12:15 - 17:35

- SQ231/SQ222
SQ231: SIN-SYD 00:45 - 11:35
SQ222: SYD-SIN 16:10 - 21:20

So either SQ221/SQ232, or SQ231/SQ222. I am leaning of the former, as SQ231 leaves SIN quite late .....

That fine by me, thanks. At last my loyalty will be properly rewarded.

And we can't really complain about that, as we do bemoan the loss of benefits to status passengers.
That would signal the end of my QF Plat days :)...having recently obtained LT Gold with QF, I'm on the lookout for a new program to join, and I might gp back to Krisflyer where I had PPS status 10 years ago :)

I have struggled with SQ status as I have been running on Kris Flyer Miles ever since Westpac Amex Kris Flyer CC started.

AusBT talking about Sydney getting the new A380s from 25 Oct. I have two suites awards booked on 231 just a few days later.

Fingers crossed 231 gets the new aircraft and we don't get bumped out of suites given that the number of seats is halved.
