The subbed 767 service today MEL-ADL-MEL has been replaced with Retro Roo. I guess a small consolation!!
Safe Travels. :)

Come up here to the USA if you want a 767, AA and DL and UA will be flying them for years and years to come . Had one on AA domestic within the last two weeks myself.
Or try one of the 2 larger Japanese airlines, who have some of the newest 767s flying around.

It is some consolation. Thanks for the info.

AustraliaPoochie, my mother and I are raising a glass to the old birds of the sky.*

*There will be no snide comments entertained, thank you! ;)

What else would you mean by that, other than referring to the 767's ? :p

Flew the JL 767 in Y a couple of years ago. The tightest seat pitch I've ever been afflicted with, and I've flown JQ twice in regular Y (no exit row or anything like that). I'm not tall at all (5'7/170 cm) and my knees were still right up against the seat in front of me

Just watched the "60 minutes special" on the in flight entertainment of OGG going to the desert.

In spite of the spin, I really can't see these old birds being picked up by anyone else.

I almost shed a tear!!

Regards,

BD

Maybe QF Link ?!
The 717's are proving to be very frustrating and unreliable.
Be awesome- QF2281 MEL-LST on a 767, yes please.

I believe 5 have already been sold to westjet

I would hope it's more likely that QFLink will look at what Bombardier are building eventually.
Don't they build Jet Ski's and PWC's?
on a serious note, they should. There seem to be more around the world, from what I have seen. I quite like flying on them on the short hops over in the US

And snow mobiles and trains and trams and airplanes to name a few. They claim to be the only manufacturer of both planes and trains currently.

Had a minor heart attack when I logged on to QFF and the flight was no longer showing under My Bookings. Searchable via the PNR though....phew.

Now trying to chase a 767 from SYD - MEL or vv, and fares between now and when the last one goes to the US to die, its like paying for hens teeth, fares have shot up.
Not so much the flights on the 767s themselves, then do see saw, but its the airfares to MEL or to SYD and back, from and to ADL thats the "killer".
Saw a quote of Aud$845 or so, just to go and catch a seat on the old bird.
Well, looks like I will have to set up a new "relationship" with the 330, till they too one day get old, and then... what sort of airline next?
737s only for QF.
Those of you have gotten your wish and had sat on the last flights, either in these past few weeks or till 27/12, lukcy.
So, thats it then, from me on QF and their 767s.
