Well, BAD NEWS for the MEL-ADL last 767 flight.
Has now been changed to a 737. QF683 and QF686.
Cant express how sad I am as this was my last ever QF 767 flight. :(
All I can hope for is that they change my Thursday flights from MEL - SYD from an A330 to a 767.
Not likely....!!!

Thats disappointing. Are the offering pax the chance to change flights?

I have just discovered that myself. *sad face*

The only consolation I have is that my J upgrade came through this morning, so at least my mother and I can sit in the same cabin.

The 767 was the attraction for me, and I helped 'persuade' my mother to fly as we were strongly considering driving over.

So, ADL to MEL, formerly supposed to be a 767, on 17Dec14, now a 737

Substituted.
Will still take the flight, but its such a pity QF had to do something like this, for what ever reason.
Sorry if its been discussed, haven't kept track, last time I looked, it was still a 767. 13.40 (pm)...
Grrrr...
Time to move from QF to VA.
Thanks all for everything.

On the basis that QF have subbed the last scheduled 767 ADL-MEL flight you will be giving all of your future travel to VA ?

Have I got that right ?

Inadvertently travelled on the classic bird on 12 Dec after my original (B738) flight was cancelled. Definitely showing its age and the seats feel tighter, but boy do those engines make some sweet music.

Was on my last 767 today 4.30 out of SYD.

Was a tired old bird on the inside. Even the Q Streaming was struggling (unsurprisingly)!

On the up side, got a nice Fig dip in my "boxed" snack.

It was spotty on my flight too. My seat neighbour couldn't get his to work and gave up after a while. Passengers across the aisle had no problems with their units.

Happy to guest you into the ADL QP so we can raise a glass to what was, and what should have been.

The 767 to/from ADL tomorrow was purely for the cricket - so when all the cricket changed and the the tests were swapped, the need for the 767 wasn't needed.

If the flights were full as 767's, there would be no need to downgrade it as they wouldn't be able to accomodate the passengers.

If the cricket schedule didn't change, the 767 would have been operating. No good for people booked but it is costly to operate a 767 for a one off return sector.

Thanks Jessica, I do have QP and have been into the ADLd one at least 10 times in the past year, thats how I will get to QF SG by end of Dec this year.
Will definitely make use of it on Wed lunch. Watch for an older Asian pooch, with glasses and bearded!
Used it also in WLG and CHC.
Ah, I see, VHOEJ, thought it was all about us that QF put that 767 into and out of ADL.

Well decided to give the old girl a try one last time so got a voucher (the bonus points = upgrade "pay") and booked me on Sunday's 763 SYD-MEL. It's currently showing as an old int configured bird 1-2-2 in J (and yeah I know, just wait for the sub right?). EF showed U1 but qf.com just had me wl. quick call to QF Premium and all sorted in around 90 seconds. Hoping the Boeing can keep on Going and hang in there so I can say a last hurrah from 1A. Fingers crossed :D

Clap, clap, clapping if they don't substitute our old friend.
Good bye old girl, its was a pity I couldn't be with you for your last flight.
Interesting that for the time being, (Air) NZ is flying their 767 some evenings from SYD to AKL, I have one in Apr 15, and yes, they have also got a habit of putting in a 320 in lieu.

Why is it interesting NZ are flying 767s, given they are still in production and NZ have a younger fleet?
