Final flights for the B767

The system wont let me checkin online ... says to checkin at the airport. Hope I dont lose my window seat.

The Y seat map has changed a bit too....
perhaps CL's are shifting everyone else out (KIDDING!)

Just looking at the mobile boarding pass it has "Comments QF767FAREWELL@QANT"

:D

TripleB, hope you have been able to OLCI by now.
Trick is if the booking has a return, you have to do T-24 for that second booking, maybe if you had done a return linked to the flight from MEL to SYD on that same PNR 6 alpha numerical code.
Analogy here, I flew ADL to PER at 12.40 on Wed, coming back, via MEL, ie, PER to MEL, I could not do OLCI for that 16.45 trip at all, until I took the trip out to PER, and in PER airport, did OLCI on my ipod.
Then on arrival in PER, in the QP, it worked!
On landing in MEL midnight Wed, while on plane, I did OLCI after they said you can turn device on.

Other sectors not really the issue as OLCI opened at 5pm (ie: 7 hours ago) for this flight. I'm thinking there's obviously things going on, and some bookings are a bit special (as in airport check-in only) probably due to the conditions, freebies(like mine) and so on. Yes, I kind of got around that and did generate a BP, but it wouldn't surprise me one iota if things change again in the next 12-16 hours.

all good fun and part of the experience I reckon! :D (except for those who want to keep those windows, because I'm gunning for one of them - hopefully someone who just booked the flight as a normal flight bwhahaha.... how can I get CL in 12 hours? Wave my WP1 card around like a moron?)

There's still that J1 showing available!

Have to agree; something odd going on there because mine keeps showing 'check-in at airport'. Doesn't specify anything in the conditions.

Don't think it's sector-related or cabin-related... OLCI for my return to Brisbane in the morning (on the final 763 up there) was fine, and that had both legs on the one booking. OLCI for my positioning flight down to Melbourne mid-arvo didn't go as smoothly due to connectivity issues (seat change was a bit dodgy, and I'm not entirely sure it went through correctly). That flight is on a separate booking to QF767.

OLCI successful for flights down and back up.

Do you think they will be kind enough at the QC tomorrow to print a "real" boarding pass for me? Would be worth keeping for such a momentous occasion!

I was thinking something similar. Those paper things suck. I don't see why they wouldn't, but they may baulk at the 10th person to ask!

The nice lady at the business lounge in sydney checked me in at 501am. Kept my window seat. Happy bunny.

Just to note, as I did fly into SYD this morning, winds were out of the southeast and we landed to the southeast, coming across the west side of Sydney (fortunately I was on the left :D). Don't know if the forecast has the winds changing, but that's how landings were three hours ago. I'd love to join but I'll be flying out around 1730 from SYD to WLG, will advise as to the landing pattern then though. Perhaps if I am late I shall see you landing! Otherwise I'll be out over the Tasman.

Decode, from 11AM wind from SSE at 15 knots, I would expect 16L and R will be the runways in use.
