FINALLY! - Citi launching Citi Prestige with Visa Infinite

The only points Citi did not pay were those connected to ATO. The rest have always come through and although they do not give a running account like others it is close enough.

i'm sure i've seen something about this on the net or even here but is there a document somewhere detailing which transactions attract rewards points and which don't? or is it just ATO payments that don't?

Duffa, is this for the Citi prestige?
Been on $350 for Prestige for a few years due to Citigold.
Westpac down from $395 to $150 but will be pushing for zero fee now for Westpac.
Might give Citi a call too - a few members are on zero fee there too!

have booked the comp. car service from BKK to our hotel for next week. also tried to use the meet & greet but they'll only do it for me and not the missus (who isn't a supp. cardholder). they want USD$50 for her. How bad are the immigration lines at BKK usually? we land at 1730 so am prepared to sit in traffic on the way to the hotel (hence the car booking).

That is a bit unfair. When we arrived back to Mel this year in Jan, we've had the service availed for our whole family (my wife and 6yr son). Was not charged a single penny. Guess you may want to speak with someone else in concierge. There is a guy called Tamar (Fred is his english name I think), who did this for us last year. I've also asked for meet and greet for our upcoming trip to Malaysia and we were not told about the excess $50 for supp card holder.

I've also not encountered this. My family (myself, wife and 1 yo) have just travelled through Hong Kong for 3 days on the way to the US. I booked both the meet and greet as well as an airport transfer to our hotel, plus a transfer to the airport on the way back - one transfer was booked in 2014, the other earlier this year. All complimentary. And I was never charged for additional family members for anything.

Admittedly the meet and greet didn't exactly do much at HKG - she met us at the bridge, but when we got to immigration we still waited in the same line as everyone else. I thought that we'd be escorted through a priority lane or something similar, like with similar services at DPS. But in any event the wait was less than 5 minutes anyway. She just led us around to baggage and out to our driver, but it wasn't anything we couldn't have done ourselves, and the service didn't expedite us in any way.

As for the transfers, we had an enormous amount of luggage given we're moving overseas for 21 months. I knew we could get it all in a sedan, but on the trip from HKG into the city the car was absolutely chockers! Luggage was piled up on the front seat and in between my wife and I in the back. I emailed Citi on a Sunday to try to change the pick up time for the return airport journey the following day, only to be told there'd be a $60 late change fee if I did. In the same email they also said that the transport provider asked if we'd be carrying the same amount of luggage as the original trip, and if so whether I'd like a van for an additional $150 USD! I declined to change the pick up time as well as the van - but they sent one anyway for no additional charge :)

Dear Andrew,
One of England's top football clubs, Liverpool, will be travelling halfway round the globe to face Brisbane Roar FC in Queensland on 17 July this year.
The match sold out to the public within 43 minutes of going on sale back in February, however we have negotiated exclusive access to further face value tickets, for Citi Prestige cardmembers through our industry connections.

i like the look of this intiative from Citi. Not a roundball fan or based in Brisbane so will pass on this opportunity, but hoping there's more where it came from.

Just saw this on the weekend. I missed out on both the releases and the boys were devastated. Thought I would give Citi Prestige and Amex Platinum concierge a call and see if either could deliver. Amex came back to me with 3 tix in the nosebleed NE corner (the worst seats in the stadium) for $250 each. Just heard from Citi Prestige and they just charged me the prices above, despite the fact they sold out straight away. Unsure of where the seats are but his understanding is they were just off to the side of the goals, initially he thought it was the Liverpool supporter end but then he said he might have gotten it wrong and it was the other (north) end. They get mailed out 2 weeks before the game, so I will find out then  Don't really care where they are. The boys are going to be ecstatic.

Citi Reward points transfer to Emirates Skywards is 2.5 :1 but from Citi's Emirates card, 1:1.

Snipped from another thread re Concierge services:

you staying in $500/night accom's cruiser? i've got a quote from them for later in the year for SIN which I might actually take up - previously been unimpressed by their offerings.

5nts at Hotel Grand Bordeaux - Deluxe Room €225/nt - staying 5 / paying 4
5nts at Hotel de Londres San Sebastian - Studio Suite €382/nt - staying 5 / paying 4
5nts Double Six Seminyak Bali - Deluxe Suite Ocean View USD406/nt - staying 5 / paying 4 (My Prestige) then
5nts Double Six Seminyak Bali - Deluxe Suite Ocean View USD406/nt - staying 5 / paying 4 (Cruiserette's Prestige) - 2 back to back bookings to get 2 x free nights.

Substantial savings as you can see dd - makes it a cheap card.

For any fee free for life signature card holders contemplating this card, I can confirm that you DO receive the 70k bonus points :)

You have caught my attention.

Please advise how to do this :)

Think he just means you can sign up for the card and be eligible for the sign up bonus. The terms state you cannot be a current citibank card holder but if you apply for a new line of credit then you will get the points as opposed to upgrading a current card

Yup you simply make a new from scratch application for the prestige card, they also acknowledged that I was already a sig cardholder, but bonus still applies

just missed a payment by mistake (forgot to update a regular transfer) on a substantial monthly bill. Ouch! Be careful people, be a transactor not a revolver.

Just got 2 quotes for 'FREE' airport transfer to / from MEL in June and July. Our home to MEL 47.3km - Citi 'FREE' Airport Transfer to / from MEL allows 30km - extra charge we will need to pay - USD72 ea way! Do the maths!
