FINALLY! - Citi launching Citi Prestige with Visa Infinite

Just confirmed 2 B2B 4P3 bookings at Nixe Palace Hotel Majorca Jun 21-25 / Jun 25-29 2017. We booked Junior Suite - see here non-refundable rate offered on hotel web site (refundable rate not offered full stop):

And see here refundable rate that hotels.com offer:

Prestige rate payable on 4P3 promo AUD2,813.31 less promo rebate AUD633.55 = Total Payable up front AUD2,197.77. (Note only room rate component for 1 nt is rebatable - applicable taxes and charges for all 4 days remain payable). ~AUD1,267.10 rebate over 2 x 4P3 bookings makes these cards very attractive - now to find some other Mediterranean destination to instigate similar plan for Jun 29 to Jul 07.

Nice result. I will email them in the next few days about a few hotels in Europe and see how I go.

Just locked in some accommodation in July for Prague and Amsterdam, saving $700 and $580 respectively. Very happy with that! If only some of the other hotels I want to stay at in Europe were on Hotels.com! The good thing about using hotels.com is that it makes it a lot easier to work out pricing and benefits.

4PPD for HHonours seemed reasonable. Took advantage of it. Now just got to wait till they hit my HH account.

Any data points on ETA? Said 14 days? Cant be that long?

Gday

Did a transfer to Hilton Honours last week. Took ~60 hours.

Have hit a couple of hurdles with the 4F3 promo recently:

1. Hotel Corfu Palace do not offer all their rooms to hotels.com - they offer Junior Suite but not bigger 1 bed Suite which we would have preferred and no matter how hard we, Citi Concierge or hotels.com pushed we could not get them to budge - in then booked Junior Suite
2. Sofitel Hyland Shanghai is not bookable at all through Citi 4F3 promo - this really surprised me and for a number reasons this is just the hotel I want for family members in May - so I booked direct with hotel

The long and the short whilst I love the Citi 4F3 promo at times some room types or indeed hotels in general cannot be booked through it - that's life.

I have found that for a few hotels also. One in particular in Bavaria that I want to stay at in July that is not available. You just need to decide if you would prefer the hotel or the discount. As long as you can get some value for the annual fee - then all good :)

Understand that Prestige doesn't give any points for the ATO.
But does this still give points for council rates (i think it did in 2015 but i haven't really been keeping track)

How good is the Citi Prestige? You tell me? 2 x b2b Stay 4/Pay 3 bookings at Sheraton Waikiki for Sept - Citi rate ~A$650/nt - hotel direct ~A$850/nt - hotels.com ~A$850/nt.

These savings on top of similar rates but for 4 x bookings in Majorca / Corfu June and July - plus LV in Sept also but only a A$300 saving there - savings total ~A$4K over 2 cards - gotta love Citi huh.

And to think Ralphy just not grown up enough to 'play with the big boys'! ;)

Bankwest worked ok. Platinum to 200,000 points cap at 0.5 earn rate or World at 0.66 earn rate uncapped.

Some great savings to be had on the Stay 4/Pay 3. We have already locked in over $1k saving in Europe in July and looking like that plus more for a NY stay in Bali (b2b) and then Singapore in Jan 2018.

Any thoughts on the best hotel to use for the one free hotel night benefit, in Brisbane, of the 4 on offer?

Gday

Not sure what the best in Brisbane is but in my experience availability is poor. If you know your date, rank the four and email them to the concierge and ask them to check one by one. Will save a lot of back and forth. And be prepared to be disappointed.
