You will need to be QF Gold or above for any seat selection to stick with Finnair.
It may not be opening earlier:I believe the QR lounge opens at 6pm.
Only one breakfast option - bit tight.Probably lesser posted, AY074 J menu from NRT to HEL tonight
I'm flying with them for the first time next year - think I'll be travelling with a bag of snacks! Shame about the decline in quality of the soft product.Honestly, the breakfast was actually really good - the main so la la. Crew was also not super attentive.
I have flown this product multiple times now but the soft service is in steady decline unfortunately. Also, the amentiy kit now only consists of a tooth brush, ear plugs and eye mask - that’s it.
Having said that, I do love the hard product and had a solid 9 hours sleep.
In the Schengen Platinum Lounge now which is very nice.
Totally agree with you. The food pre-covid was great and it is no where near that standard now. However I love the hard product and, lets face it, I will jump at any excuse to visit Helsinki!Honestly, the breakfast was actually really good - the main so la la. Crew was also not super attentive.

All Finnair long haul aircraft have now been refitted with the airlounge.I've just booked another trip for us in March next year. He'll be 3 then, so I got him his own seat. Flying out of HKG this time, I assume the HKG-HEL is also equipped with the airlounge seats
Thanks Henrus, I wasn't aware they'd finished retrofitting all of them. All Finnair long haul aircraft have now been refitted with the airlounge.
I'd dump Finnair for QSuites too! Good find. And yes, if you can get those middle seats facing backwards you'll be like in the picture.Edit: Found QSuites BNE-DOH-OSL so I cancelled my QF CR booking and booked QR J instead. I think it's a much better option as the dividers between seats can be collapsed, whereas in Finnair airlounge there's a big wide divider between seats which might prove stressful for him.
Assuming we can get the right seats, we should be able to share sleeping space like this? It'll be my first time in QSuite
Yep was able to grab two backwards facing seats.I'd dump Finnair for QSuites too! Good find. And yes, if you can get those middle seats facing backwards you'll be like in the picture.
