First Qantas A220 revealed

Alliance E190s subbing in for select MEL-CBR and MEL-HBA A220 services throughout January.

Quite a few of the Hobart A220 services have switched to the 737 too.

Today's A220 service on SYD-LST v.v. cancelled and replaced with a Q400 with a flying time of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Nah I think they were fitting slat tracks.
Am currently on X4C - overhead lockers seem smaller than a 737 and the headrest doesn’t really lock into place if you move it up from its default position. Other than that (and a 35 min+ delay on takeoff) it’s a decent plane.
Charging is good
Also I saw X4E in the hangar on takeoff so nearly flew it.

A220 MEL-DRW postponed until end of Feb. A220 also being reduced on MEL-CBR/HBA and SYD-HBA.

They have 3 times as many checked A220 captains as they do checked FOs.

If you see the Qantas A220 seat map and look at the regos in the top right corner you’d notice it only says VH-X4A, X4B, X4C, X4D and X4E, but the remaining 24 aircraft they have on firm order aren’t listed.

Does this mean VH-X4F onwards could potentially go to mainline Qantas and have international grade cabins (IFE, long haul business class etc)? I’ve heard rumours that QF want to launch routes like CNS-SIN, DRW-SIN, CBR-AKL and HBA-DPS with the A220 within the next 4-5 years so I’m wondering if VH-X4F and onwards going to Qantas mainline makes sense.
Alternatively, does it simply mean that the registrations included on the seat map are only those of aircraft in service and other registrations will be added when they enter service?

I've only read a few of the contributions so apologies if this has been covered.

QF owns National Jet Systems, but the otherwise good 'Airfleets' site lists these new aircraft under 'National Jet Systems' not under 'Qantas'.

This slightly increases the claimed median age of the 'Qantas' fleet as calculated by Airfleets.

Would it be preferable for Airfleets to list these aircraft under 'Qantas'?

My point was these aircraft are referred to by Qantas as 'Qantas' planes.

This applies also to the first two you mention, though not Jetstar aircraft.
They also refer to Express Freighters Australia as Qantas, so maybe we should group all planes under that banner?
