First Qantas A220 revealed

Boarded VH-X4A 2 hours late - Wi-Fi inoperative so all good news so far.
Flew on X4A last Saturday MEL/LST and same thing - delayed at least an hour and Wi-Fi also inoperative then too. At least we made it — the flight the evening prior was cancelled all together.

A220 being withdrawn from LST in March and it looks like HBA as well, both will see a mix of E190 and 737 replacements.
Nothing in the schedules yet but this is hardly surprising.

Of note, MEL-LST tentatively switches from 2x daily A220 to 4x daily Q400 at the end of October.

So much for fleet renewal. But I guess lucky they won't be Q400s or Dash-8s. :rolleyes:

2 X SYD-HBA return rotations cancelled today, not sure if lack of crew or serviceable A220s.
Looks like X4E went tech in LST.

It was supposed to operate QF1512 to MEL, but was delayed for a couple of hours before being cancelled.
