PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

At T31ish and counting down to T24 when I'm hoping that the SMS will arrive for our Y to J on QF28 tomorrow

Your chances unfortunately don't look that good for QF28 on 2 June (perhaps with time zone changes I have misinterpreted the date)

QF 28SCL 1:30p → SYD 5:40p

From where to where? It is much easier to assist if you provide origin to destination.

Please see post #1 of this thread for more.

Apologies Serfty.

To make it even worse, I put the wrong flight number. I put our return flight number, that's on June 16.

Correct flight is - June 2, QF27 SYD-SCL. I think (hope) something must be happening as our Y+ seat selection has disappeared this morning. No SMS as yet.

No wonder there was confusion, wrong flight number, wrong date!! I've just replied with correct details

Confirmation SMS just received. Looks like we've changed back to a re-furbed 744 as we've been allocated 3 J/K, unless there's non re-furbed 744s without first?

Hi all

Hoping for someone to check the loads for QF2 from LHR to SYD departing on 4 June 2017. 2 pax looking to upgrade from PremiumY to J - lead pax (me) is SG and other pax is PS.

Many thanks!

Thanks so much! Looking reasonably good I guess - fingers crossed - although there could be a whole heap of WPs in PremiumY who have requested upgrades, in which case I will be staying in PremiumY!

This actually has me wondering now whether the mix of status pax on an upgrade request has any play in the outcome, or if it's all on the requester's status alone (presuming they're on the booking)... Would a WP and SG traveling together have a better chance than a WP and NB, for example? Of course, it's hard enough to figure out the lottery as it is!

You would hope the system is that sophisticated but I have my doubts.

I'd be cautiously optimistic too. One thing that's odd though is that it says F4 and A4 but when I look at the seatmap in EF all but 3 seats are actually selected. I know you aren't focused on F but something is screwy.

Anyway, good luck, and please let us know how you go.

Upgrade came through sometime between T-22 and T-13. Interesting no text message received, just looked at Qantas app when I woke up - points deducted and new seats assigned - row 16 centre which should be good. Very happy as will be able to sleep on the long flight home!

Would someone be able to provide an update on QF93 on the 11th June

Checking for a friend who has Y>PE and Y>J requests in the system
