PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

Higher tier offers should be well under way, but with aircraft swaps in DXB and any other uncertainties that might arise they may well hold back some seats until very close to departure.
O.K. So further WP and any SG upgrades will likely use up all remaining seats leaving PS with no upgrade chance. Thanks.

Was hoping someone who’s free could help out. Mrs B and I are travelling on QF 9 on the 21st Jan 2018 from MEL through to LHR in J and returning on QF2 on Sat 3rd Feb and have put in upgrade requests. Was wondering how it’s looking now. I know it’s still very early days but curious. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone please check for me how full F is tomorrow Sat 23 December on TG 476 from Sydney to Bangkok dep at 10.00am. Thanks in advance.

Hi all
Flying from SYD to BKK on Boxing Day on QF23 and wondering how likely an upgrade is from Y to J - pretty slim based on the loadings last week, but perhaps something has changed. Would appreciate someone taking a quick look for me.

Many thanks!

Looks tight, but a slim chance remains:

Thank you so much. Fingers crossed, I am lowly SG though so probably most likely a few WPs will have requests in... oh well....
I suspect you are right. But you never know (some WPs may already have been bumped to facilitate further Y sales, so what remains could be available).

Let us know how you go.

Can someone give me a sense of current capacity/likelihood of success, economy to business, on QF73 on Thursday? I’m gold, requested for my Mum (bronze).

Thanks

The origin and destination are needed for the search. Flight numbers only help at the end of the search process.

Sydney to San Francisco. Thanks

Here you are:

You should have a reasonable chance, methinks.

Can somebody please check the loadings for QF29 melbourne to HK on Jan 25.

Got a request for J for myself and the brother in law. I’m bronze so it’s going to be a long shot, but we can only hope!

Looking reasonably full in business unfortunately

QF 29 MEL 9:45a → HKG 4:15p
J6 C6 D5 I0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 X9 E9

Cheers thanks for that. I guess while there is some un sold seats there’s always hope. But I’d imagine a few platinums and golds will have upgrade requests ahead of me.

Maintain the optimism, one business seat on international remains unsold for any walk ups at full fare. Unfortunately QF no doubt has done its homework and expects a walk up.

It's not the end of the world. There is 7 of us on the flight (including me), so economy wont be the end of the world. But yeah I will maintain the optimism. However I do think one of the other 7 has a good chance at an upgrade as he's gold and just got a request for himself.

If any are P1 every 10th flight they are listed for an automatic upgrade.

I wasn't aware of the "policy"?

Is that actually documented anywhere? You'd want to ensure your 10th booking was MEL/SYD-LHR and not MEL/SYD-CBR!
