Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I haven't been offered a 4-week spend promo which is disappointing. I also didn't receive a mail-out of coupons when the last lot expired. Seems like FlyBuys are breaking up with me or something?

Check your subscriptions. If you aren't signed up to Coles targeted offers and other associated emails, tick the relevant boxes. If you are signed up, unsubscribe from these emails then log out of your flybuys account. Log back in a few minutes later and re-subscribe to these types of emails. That might fix the problem, although it might be a week or two before you see a difference in the emails.

Good idea, but I don't see anywhere to do this at the FB site?

I'm still getting weekly emails with Specials and flybuys offers for health insurance and other stuff I won't use.

Oh well, will give Woolies a chance to win me over with some offers now that they've copied the points format of FB.

EDIT ok, found the communications preferences page. It's quite well hidden!

Yes, I've found some of the settings in flybuys hard to find as well. Good luck.

We got a new four week offer (spend $60 x 4 for $50 off). Might not work given we are away for a weekend...

Haven't had much shopping done at Coles so had a decent offer -$40x4 for $50 off

I managed to get that one once but haven't seen it in a long time. It's the best 4 week offer I have heard of. Well done and enjoy your shopping and the reward.

Very happy to get a nice $90 for 1k docket deal today that will stack nicely with week one and my week three 1k points coupon.

Got an offer 1000 points for $100 Mastercard, but you have to pay $5 to buy the card? Is that breakeven anyway - if you don't intend to buy a MC gift card in the first place but just for the point?

It works if you have a card that earns more points at supermarkets than elsewhere

Here are the T&Cs for the offer:

*BONUS POINTS offer only available to flybuys members who receive this email, activate the offer and then purchase a $50 or $100 Coles Gift MasterCard (“Qualifying Card”) in store from a Coles Supermarket between 23 August and 4 September 2016. BONUS POINTS will be awarded for each Qualifying Card purchased during the offer period, a maximum of 10 Qualifying Cards per transaction. 500 BONUS POINTS for each $50 Coles Gift MasterCard and 1,000 BONUS POINTS for each $100 Coles Gift MasterCard will be credited to qualifying flybuys members account within 4 weeks of offer end date. You have been specifically selected for this offer and it is not transferable. You must activate this offer and scan your flybuys number when you buy a Qualifying Card. The offer can be redeemed multiple times during the campaign period.

Can be VERY useful for say Amex card holders who want to earn points WITHOUT a surcharge at other retailers/restaurants/etc.

Can buy them via Coles with no surcharge, earn the points such as VFF etc.

No docket deals today when I did my top up shopping.

I'll be doing my week 1 shopping either Thursday or Friday.

And it means that the spending is credited now. This could be useful to meet required spends on new credit cards so that the sign on bonus can be received and those cards can be cancelled as soon as possible.

Glad to receive a 1000 points docket deal today when making a small purchase that could not be delayed to next week's spend (due to a no-dishwasher-tablet-emergency in the excel household).

Noticeably my spend target for docket deals has jumped $10. By the end of this 4x$80 promotion, I expect to be back on the $120 spend required for an award, if not higher.

Got a similar offer on a small shop whilst fruitlessly searching for $100 Coles Prepaid MCs - not happy Jan - 3 stores that had them last time only have hundreds of $50s.

I did my week one shopping trip today. I got a notice on the receipt confirming my week 1 spend. I also got a docket deal on my receipt. I guess the systems hadn't been updated early Wednesday morning. I thought it was going to be a triple points docket but it was another 1000 point docket but the target has increased to $70.

I read a couple of posts today on Facebook. The 10 day week 1 has confused some flybuys members as one member said they'd done their week 2 shopping trip today but didn't get a congratulations email. They've lost track of the weeks. Flybuys hadn't responded at the time I viewed the post but hopefully someone will point out the date issues.

Someone in the flybuys offer email section got mixed up this week. Some flybuys members were sent phantom 4 week offers along with their weekly specials emails on Tuesday evening. The offers were for 10,000 points or $50 off a shop. They didn't have a proper target on them. There was a $ sign but no value next to it. It was very confusing to the members who didn't realise a mistake had been made. Some of the people who received these emails were ones who hadn't received many offers from flybuys and were quite delighted to receive an offer like this. Most of them would have been very disappointed once they were informed that it wasn't a valid offer. The offers had "choose now" buttons for activations but the links on these buttons didn't work and the members couldn't activate them. Flybuys sent an apology email later on informing members affected that their accounts weren't eligible for these offers.

I'm wondering whether flybuys will come up with extra offers for members going back to Woolworths next week after the Woolworths Rewards revamp.

Many stores restocked during the Mother's Day promo-we can hope as I only have 1 store still with current availability

I've only picked up two so far as I don't have a tax bill to pay and don't really have many bills that I can split the payment up over multiple cards.

This will be extremly interesting to observe from a marketing perspective!

I suspect Coles will be very active with bonus point offers initially over the next few weeks as I'm sure they won't want to loose all the customers they gained when Woolies got it all wrong late last year. ;)

I know for myself I will switch back my fuel spend back to Woolies from next week as the ability to earn QFF points plus the 4c per litre discount ( which in the past could not be combined) is enough to win me over considering the earn rate is literally the same at Coles/Shell.

Although as for supermarket spending, it will be all about extracting the best value from bonus points offers.
Coles have literally been throwing themselves at me with a pletherora of bonus point offers over the past 9 months. Woolies will really need to match or better what Coles does in terms of cleverly targeted bonus point offers to win their lost customers ( like myself) back into their stores.
