Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

In my experience base points show up when you collect your glasses. As for bonus points who knows. But expect to have to spend hours chasing them.

The offer I had didn't have any specification on what was a qualifying purchase. It listed lots of exemptions but the qualifying purchases weren't specified. All it said was, "Shop with OPSM" to receive 2000 points. If flybuys claim that what I shopped for wasn't a qualifying transaction I've got them for misleading promotions and advertising so they'll have to pay up to keep faith with the customer.

You'd think so but nothing is certain or reliable with flybuys.

So with a email bonus offer, a weekly bonus offer, a docket deal and a mail voucher point offer I probably got about 4000 bonus points for 1 shop.

Also I noticed instore bonus point offers for Vegemite, Bickfords Cordial and El Paso Spices.

I had the same offer I believe, standard points posted for me after 1 day, bonus points came through after 25 days

Looks like the lots of 1K $100 MC gift card points have hit my account. Need to check my receipts to see if they reconcile.

Same.

How many weeks late?

Looks like all of mine have been paid.

... and finally mine have arrived and now been transferred through with the 15% bonus (which has been extended to December 22 btw).

So ended up at 1,100 points per $100 cMC as per the offer activated. Time value of money and 15% bonus on transfer - I wonder if they are linked?

Either way, Flybuys should have announced "Due to some trouble in providing the correct bonus points on some offers recently we are giving you the opportunity to get a 15% bonus on the number of points transferred..."

Really these guys are pathetic - they cannot turn a good news story into good news.

Did a $ spend to activate a docket deal. Got a 1500 points for $110 spend docket. 1500 for mail voucher plus another 2000 points for 3 week challenge. So just need to spend $140 spend will get me at least 5000 bonus points.

My latest offer is spend $160pw for two weeks for $20 or 4,000 points. #notgonnahappen

What's the best way to get the target spend down?
1. Don't activate, don't spend.
2. Activate but don't spend.
3. Activate but just spend a few bucks so the algorithm knows you still exist?

Nice outcome! I got 2 x $70, my last was 4 x $60. But my husband got 2 x $50 so we'll use his. I activated both (just in case we decide to spend on both!)

I got 2 x $50 spend for 4000 points. I think I can manage that. Week 1 is one of those funny 9 days weeks so don't get caught out by that. I'll do my Week 1 spend on Monday and use a triple points docket deal, 500 point docket deal for spending $50 and my weekly coupon for 500 points

My base points for the OPSM promotion posted after about a week. Hopefully the bonus points will post during January. I'll keep an eye on the dates and report on what happens.

Flybuys got carried away with us. The first email was in such a rush the dollar amount was left off....
Spend $ or more in one transaction, in store or online at Coles, each week for 2 weeks

Alas it was $90 for each of two weeks to save $20 or get 4000 points.

Still recovering from the Christmas grocery purchases, so I think not.

Happy wandering

we used to have huge targets...went o/s for 6 weeks and the offers kept coming but were smaller each week. helped that our local BiLo is closed to become a 'full service' coles. current is down to $80 per week ...much better than we used to get and now a lot more manageable
