Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I'm doing the 10K points x 4 x $50. I am simultaneously getting emails offers for more offers on similar $40 and $50 spends. Can I get all these rewards at the same time?

It's unusual to get extra email offers when there are 4 week offers on hand, however flybuys seem to be doing something different at the moment. You can stack all of the email offers, coupons and docket deals unless the offers specifically say that they can't be combined.

I've got a triple points email offer which I'm going to combine with my week 1 shop later this week.

They do sometimes send out 'reminders' that look like a new offer but aren't. It is clear once you read the details. Agree it is unusual to have simultaneous email offers though simultaneous docket offers are pretty common

For the "Spend $x for 4 weeks" promotion - Coles is especially 'nasty' perhaps bordering on the dreaded "misleading & deceptive" even.

Coles sends out the offer often around 10 (possibly 11) days before the end of the "First Week".

I don't know about anyone else but I am pretty sure that the legal definition of a "Week" is 7 days not 10 or 11. That the offer recognises spending over that entire period signals perhaps the sting in the tail of the offer.

Coles is giving themselves a '5 for the price of 4' deal at your expense unless you READ the FINE PRINT very closely.

No free lunches, even from Coles it seems.

Yep, a day after I received my 4 weeks x $50 offer, I received a bonus 500 bonus points for spending $50 offer.

I spent that amount the next day, my receipt congratulated me for completing the first week of the 10,000 point offer and I had the extra 500 points credited to my account from the other offer the day after. Also used a triple points docket to get an additional triple points from the base spend - effectively got 3150 odd points for a $50 shop.

The emails I get are pretty.clear about the dates of all 4 'weeks'.

Not sure how to feel

I loaded the app and thought free points. Became a little annoying whenever unlocking the phone an add popped up but simply pressing the cross got rid of it, and I thought a means to an end. Thinking about it a little further, that would take 1000 times to get the equivalent of $5.... Then I was looking at my progress and saw it was stuck at zero still (It has a odometer type display to show how far you are off getting 350/650 and 1000 points). I thought what the holy honk is going on here. Then I realised I had to click on the add (which brings the add up in a browser) to get a point. Flippin' heck, I'm not doing that 1000 times to get $5.

I promptly uninstalled the app.

Thank you for going through this pain on behalf of all of us.

Gosh, I just thought you had to have the app installed to get 1000 points per month, similar to tracking apps. I won't be installing it in that case.

Thanks for the heads up on this app. I was going to load it, but not now

Well, after all the hassles of trying to find out for years why I never received any Coles-related FB offers (the details of which have been well documented in other posts and threads, so won't bore you with it all again LOL), and in the end having to have my account deleted and a new account set up a couple of weeks ago, I've FINALLY - for the first time ever in all my years as a FB member - received a "spend this for so many weeks for X bonus points or dollars off" offer. Not sure how this compares with other "first-time" offers, so looking for comments/advice about whether to take this up, or wait for something better.

Offer is spend $50 for 2 weeks for $20 off OR 4000 bonus points. $50 has to be spent in one shop each time. Tempted to ignore the offer for several reasons - I wouldn't normally spend $50 at Coles in one shop, and it's probably many months since I did so. I'm also away in NSW at the moment and won't return until the last day of week 1 (Wed 30 Aug to Tues 5 Sep) and Coles will be closed by the time my flight gets back to Perth, so it would be a struggle to reach that Week 1 target as there's only a few incidentals I need to get at either Coles or WW before the next (and last) stop on this trip. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome :)

$50 targets are one of the lowest targets offered, although apparently there are some $20 targets out there at the moment. If you only use Coles occasionally you might get lucky enough to get the $20 target but it's very rare. I've seen multi week offers for $40 occasionally so you might get lucky with this one sooner than the $20 one. Activate this offer with your preferred reward to show you are interested in receiving offers. If it's inconvenient, don't take up this offer. Wait for another offer which should pop up in a few weeks when you will be home during the spend period. Most flybuys offers are spend target in one transaction so you'll have to think carefully about what you want to stock up on.

Keep activating as many as that come into your email box, or via tear off slip from the statement.
I have had multiple "wins" by buying certain products, and then spending more than $60 in that one transaction.
Your "transactions" part of the FB website will tell you if you have been successful or not.
One time, I got 2,000 FB points by spending more than $60 in 1 transaction, plus 500 for buying a 26 packs sachet of coffee.
Another time, I got 1,000 FB points for $50 spend, and also 500 for the tear off slip from my printed FB snail mail letter.
I see it at the moment, that FB is very keen on trying to outdo WW.
In the past few weeks, I must have transferred at least 5 2000 FB points transfers to VFF.

Thanks Rainbowgirl, that's extremely helpful! It's just unfortunate that the first offer I receive happens when I'm away LOL. I'll activate it anyway and see what happens. I'm visiting Dad at the moment so probably could have used this spend to buy some stuff for him, but the nearest Coles store is about 70km away, they only have WW and IGA as their local supermarkets down here.

I haven't received a physical statement or paper vouchers for at least 4 years, I've only been receiving my FB statements via email during that time and they have never had any offers attached, nor did I receive separate email offers for bonus points for certain products at Coles, so I'm hoping that now I have a "new" account, that I might finally start getting these. So yes, as per yours and Rainbowgirl's advice, I'll be activating anything and everything I receive!
