Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Copped a $110 per week over 4 weeks for 10k points. Easily achievable as we easily spend over a grand on groceries. I've now also got 2 docket coupons for 2000 points on $120 spend and 2500 points on $150 spend. I shall apply those all at once on the first of 4 weeks worth of shopping!

In addition tot he 4 week spend I got bonus points for spending the same amount for first week. 2000 points for $90 spend!

not bad!!

Also got the targeted offer for 4 consecutive weeks of shopping - my hurdle is $80 per week, which is easily achievable.

About to head via my local Coles for some shopping - dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow, plus some regular purchases. Will piggyback with a triple offer on this shop (via shopping docket from this morning) :D. Happy days.

Another 2000 bonus points for $150 spend.

How do they increase the spend target when you are spending $0 on groceries?

10,000 bonus points for $100 spend x 4 weeks. :(

Got to treat them mean to keep them keen. They want to increase the offers to see if you bite. Pull back and shop at Woolies or IGA for a week. Alternatively, do small shops to see if you get good docket offers (fixed bonus points or triple).

Agree. All of these strategies work. Have some patience and offers will come. Play the game.

Another 4x$60 for 10k offer. Stackable with an additional 1x$60 for 2k offer.

I have been lucky enough to get the same offer every five weeks....

I literally just received a 4 * $50 for 10000 points. This overlaps with 4 App Booster specials over the next for weeks of W1 $50 for 1000 points, W2 Triple point and W3 and W4 a copy of W1 and W2. So if I did the minimum shop each week it is $200 spend for 12300 points.

Even better, just received a 2000 points for $60 spend before Tuesday, so if I (well my wife) shops on Monday for $60, that will give 2000 points, + 1000 points + the first leg of 4 for 10000 points, so a triple stacker. That entices me to go out to HJ's and get a triple cheeseburger to celebrate. :)

Call me a cynic, but I think Coles marketing algorithm is too clever at times. As I mentioned above, I went shopping tonight on the way home - $110. First week of my 4 weeks x $80 shop done and used a triple points offer as well. Finished at 6pm as I drove out listening to the ABC news on the radio.

I then got this email offer from Coles 50 mins later. Sorry but I’m not biting - I’m going to trigger but let it lapse.

I haven't spent $60+ at Coles in months. They keep increasing the spend when I buy VA and JQ gift cards. I don't understand why as that spend is not included in spend targets.

Yes, something similar happened to me on the account we are using for the 4 week promotion. Usually I can predict the pattern of flybuys offers and the timing but they've changed things lately and it's getting hard to figure things out.

Lots of people would have received a spend offer tonight - whether they shopped today or not. Just sometimes they hit people that have just been shopping. Just the way it works.

When spending do you try at get the total shop as close to the required spend? The weeks I shopped I got it a couple dollars passed required spend. The other half went about $40 over each time and our next 10k points offer went up from $80 to $90 per shop. Will do the $90 per week this time around and keep it on target and see how the next one goes.

My guess is that if you meet the minimum spend by any margin, they are going to up it the next time around. I recently hit a $50pw x 4 weeks offer at WW and each week I probably fluctuated between $10-40 over. The next offer that came on that card was $120pw x 4 weeks! I plan to rest that card for a little while in the expectation/hope a lower price offer is forthcoming.

Agreed, I think it was just a case of bad timing. I got the same offer the same night, but had not yet done my first shop for my first of the four week offer.

I'm not quite sure how I got a double double bonus point offer, but I'm not complaining.

Ah, upon quiet reflection, I had a double points offer from my snail mail vouchers, so it looks like it stacks nicely with a docket based one. Plus Week 1 of my 4 Week shop towards 10K. Nice :D
