Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Damn, I’m going to miss out on my 4 week offer again - forgot we were going away this weekend :(. Oh well, I hope they give me some consolidation offer.

Don't give up! :D I've shopped while on holiday once. I found that the Brita water filters and razor refills are good ways to reach $50 and fit them in your suitcase. And these are things I would need anyway.

Would have to load the shopping (non-perishables only) in the car by Sunday night and Monday is a student free day in BNE, so we are only coming back Monday afternoon. Looking at the option of going shopping now after I pick the kids up from school. Never give up. Actually, I need razor refills adn have the bags in my car. Off I go.

9,600 bonus points for $240 spend this week.

Someone please tell them they're dreaming....

It's up to you to tell them @JohnK, in this case the best method is not to engage in their offer ;)

I failed in Week 3 on my 20K offer, so back to seeing what they may offer me as compensation. Going away for a long weekend really hurt my chances. Thought I had it in the bag, @CPMaverick :(

I haven't engaged them on their silly offers in several months but they keep increasing the offers.

And as far as I'm aware the only feedback they have is over the phone.

Interesting....I had a spend $100 for 4 weeks to get 10000 FB pts. I did week 1 but gave up on week 2 as I had nothing left to buy and just spent maybe $45 . I then got a 2nd chance email saying if I spent $100 in week 3 and 4 I will still get the 10000 FB pts....I just completed week 4 and my docket says I have earned 10000 FB pts. My house is full of non perishable goods now!! :(

I received an offer of 3600 points for a spend of $90, similar to an offer I got last week. I don't have a hope of getting good offers in the future. I'll probably combine the purchase with my week 1 coupon and then ignore Coles for a week or two.

I also got a free sample of 1.25 litre Pepsi Max with Raspberry. Yum.

I got $50 for 4 weeks for 10k points, just did my final shop.
Now back to woolies to play around the spending amount requirements per offer :)

Got a nice 10600 points for ~$180 spend which I completed today in a single shop. I do receive a fair few Coles offers which are almost always above the $100 mark but never seen one over $200 if I remember correctly. Either way I shop for 6 people so its easily achievable and we always spend over $1000 a month on groceries. I did briefly try Aldi to see how much I would save and while there was a saving, I couldn't find a lot of what I'd normally buy and and there just wasn't a variety of brands. I also don't like rummaging through boxes to find stuff and found this particular store messy. The small saving doesn't really seem worth it for me.

Back to flybuys, I have not received any Coles express offers in months now. Used to get 1000 bonus points per 30L etc, but now nothing. I'm also waiting for a 20x points bonus on eBay! They don't seem to come too often...

I got that offer, too, and got the 10,000 points, and then a couple of weeks later they offered the deal to me again! I check the FB app on my phone every few days to see the deals.

Of course they're going to increase the spend hurdle - that's the whole point of these offers - to try to get you to spend more next time. Your job is to spend less and fool the algorithm to offer you lower amounts in the future. Not shopping as much also assists (alternating between retailers).

As expected, after my failure for the second time with a 4 week offer, Coles have offered me:

collect 6,400 BONUS POINTS when you spend $160 at Coles! Offer valid in store and for Coles online orders delivered between Sat 27 Oct and Tue 30 Oct 2018.Offer only redeemable once.

My offer spend hurdle was $150 over the 4 weeks. So they've upped the spend hurdle ($10 or 6.67%), but commensurately given me more points (an increase of 1,400 or 28%) than I would have received from the previous offer (5K x 4 = 20K). I think I'll bite (like I did with the last one - and they credited me twice for that one :D). It was spend $180 for 7,200 bonus points in the week after I failed the first 4 Week offer. It was to my wife, whereas the latest one above was emailed to me. We have connected cards on one account.

Also chose to activate and spend on two other (targeted?) offers. I had a FirstChoice spend $99+ Click and Collect for bonus 2K points (spent $104 for my wifes future white wine drinking needs) as well as Liquorland spend $20 get 1K bonus points (as we have a friend over from NZ this weekend, time she drank some Australian and French Sauv Blanc). $24 spent. Pick them up on the way home. (Brownie) points all round :D (yes, pun intended!)

I haven't gotten anything for weeks and the 500 point coupons they sent were at the $80 level. Meaning I'll have to go to woolworths. I hate my local woolworths.

Wife 3x points for fruit & vegetables and meat this weekend.

Received same offer in an email on Friday and took it to be a generic offer to everyone as I did not have to activate it and does not appear in the app or on website under current offers.
