Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Offer from Flybuys came in tonight. It was for spending $80 for 800 bonus points, ending on September 2. I have a couple of birthday presents to get, a fathers day present plus some shoes for the children so I can probably make the $80 target. If I get a Big W offer before the end of the qualifying period I'll have to think carefully about which offer I take up. The nice thing about a Target purchase is that I have a $100 gift card earned from another loyalty program which I will use to take up the offer.

There was another section in the Target offer email. It was an invitation to sign up to the Target Enews email subscription. I was offered 500 bonus points for signing up to this list. I'm a bit confused however. I couldn't figure out whether this was a general offer or another targeted offer. When I got to the sign up page there was a space to fill in my flybuys number, but no confirmation message to say that joining the list would earn me 500 points.

Very interesting. I'm not used to seeing flybuys tiered offers with bonus points as the reward. I'm used to seeing this type of structure with fuel voucher offers.

My offer is different. 500 points for $50 spend at Coles and 250 points for $10 at Coles express(non fuel). I'll probably use both offers. The bread and the milk will come from Coles Express and the rest of the groceries from Coles. It will include $12.50 of goods from the freezer to take up a separate offer for 150 bonus points. I also have a triple points coupon for this week.

I never ever used my Flybuys card...its activated but never used....perhaps I am missing something but WOW / EDR / QFF is easier to understand and use IMHO

Edit: while (M)ASA's are available I'm still in the QF camp

For me personally the EDR/QFF link is more complicated. I find it easier to figure out how much a flybuys offer is worth to me than evaluate an EDR offer. I also find it easier to combine flybuys offers.

Flybuys are really pushing their various credit card connections with NAB and doing some hard marketing to flybuys members. I usually don't put these marketing offers on the targeted offers thread but I thought I'd do it today just to see how many different offers are out there. I am happy with my current credit card and the loyalty program it offers so I won't be taking it up, but it is tempting. I think it fits in this thread as the offers are targeted to specific members.

I got an offer to apply for one of the credit cards and get approval by September 29. If I did this then I would be eligible to get one 20 cent fuel voucher per week from 7 October and 29 December. The catch is that I would have to spend $100 in one transaction at Coles each time to get the high value voucher.

A friend of mine got a different offer for the same two credit cards. The relevant dates are the same as above but the offer is for $10 off each week for a Coles transaction of $100 or above.

Has anyone else received any other marketing deals along the same lines?

You can earn 250 BONUS POINTS when you spend $30 or more on your Coles MasterCard in a single transaction at Coles Supermarkets. That's on top of the points you would normally earn by using your Coles MasterCard. Just make the transaction before 10 September, 2013.

Offer I got. Can only be used once.

Triple points for Coles and Coles Expree(non fuel) for the weekend. I also had a spend $25 on fuel at Coles Express for 200 points which I took advantage of earlier in the day. I think I got the bottom of the Melbourne petrol cycle luckily. I noticed this evening that a couple of petrol stations had gone up in price.

Coles Express have ended their cheap bread promotion. They were selling Coles brand bread for $2 if you bought two loaves in one transaction or one loaf of bread and 2 litres of milk. They have now gone back to the $2.30 price for the bread which matches the supermarket price.

Coles have a mixture of points and fuel voucher offers this weekend.

I got an offer of 16 cents per litre for $50 spend, 18 cents for $60 and 20 cents for $70. I will probably use the 16 cent offer. Petrol is pretty high at the moment but I don't have any better offers from WW on fuel at the moment so I might as well get the 16 cent voucher and wait until my car gets as low on fuel as possible and use the voucher at Coles Express when I can. If I get petrol before september 18 I can use a triple points on fuel offer which I received in the same email.

I also received a couple of Target offers. One for triple points on childrens clothing which I used on the weekend. The other one is 500 points for $50 on womenswear, footwear and accessories. I won't be taking this one up.

A friend of mine got a Coles offer this weekend for 500 points for spending $60. They told me they would have preffered the petrol voucher offer and they are annoyed that flybuys put up their target from $50 to $60.

Our fuel offer is tiered 30c for $160 spend, 35c $170, 40c $180. At the current price for diesel 40c a litre saves at $32 a fill.

I got a triple points offer last weekend but didn't activate it. It was one of those unusual weeks where I had to do my Coles shopping on a Friday and I had to do the Coles shopping on the Thursday. I was hoping the offers would start on the thursday like they do sometimes but unfortunately I was out of luck. Hope next weeks offers are better than just triple points.

I received spend $110 get 750 points. Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th. 750 points will be applied per transaction over $110. Excludes gift cards - would that be all gift cards or only certain ones like at Woolies.

750 bonus points if I use my Coles Mastercard and also swipe my Flybuys at Coles and Liquorland. Doesn't say anything about a minimum spend. Mmmmm.
Might do a $1 spend!
They must have seen I primarily only use my AMEX!

I had an offer like that for using my Visa card at Coles instead of my usual Amex. The offer was only double flybuys points so I calculated that I could make more money on the transactions by using my Amex card. Even with my credit card provider devaluing their points a few months ago, I was still better off with the AMEX points than the Flybuys points. If flybuys offer a lump sum in bonus points for me using my Visa card I might take up the next offer.
