Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

A bit of a heads up , is that Coles Express will be introducing an offer for a $$ spend in store for X Cents of petrol which will be able to be stacked with the Coles 4c off fuel offer sometime in February . Im not 100% sure if its a permanent or limited promotional offer at this stage. In addition to this, there will be a Flybys X? offer at CEX (not on fuel).

As I eluded too in the above , here are the details of the instore offer at Coles Express from Thurs 6th Feb - Wed 5th March

Spend $20 or more on Groceries in one transaction at Coles Express and receive 10c per litre off INSTANTLY .This can be stacked with your 4c per litre offer from Coles to give you a total of 14c per litre off

In addition there will be Triple Flybys Points (X3) on Groceries at Coles Express

(Excluded items : Fuel , Tobacco , Gift Cards , Mobile Phone, Recharge & Lottery)

Sounds good for some people but not me. I get my bread and milk at Coles Express when there is a good enough offer but this target is too high. The most I've spent on bread and milk there is $10. There aren't any other products I'd get there as most of them are overpriced compared to the supermarket price.

Spend for points this week:

$50 for 750 points
$60 for 1,000 points and
$70 for 1,250 points

If I was home I may have pulled the trigger on that one.

Jessica and I got the same again !!! I only intend spending $20 if that this week - payweek next week...

I got another one of those spend money for vouchers again.
It had the same targets as last week starting with $10 voucher for a $50 spend.
This shoud be an easy $10.

I got an unusual targeted offer today from Flybuys for Coles. I call it unusual because of the dates and the target figure.

Flybuys often offer me triple points but not like the following offer. The offer is for triple points on transactions of $100 or more on Tuesday 11 February and Wednesday 12 February. I haven't spent $100 in one transaction at Coles since September 2012. I used to spend this amount to get the $5 off Tell Coles discount but I realised eventually that I could save more by making smaller transactions and therefore getting better targeted offers and coupons from flybuys. The timing is also strange. It's rare for this type of offer to run on a Tuesday and Wednesday. I wonder what flybuys are up to. Some members have complained about the lack of offers on Tuesday and Wednesday but I never make bulk purchases during these days because I know there will be a better offer on the weekend. I've activated the offer but I won't be using it. I might use my 500 point coupon for spending $60 later in the week but there's no way I'm spending $100 at Coles in one transaction again.

If I get a triple points only offer, I spend less than $20. If I can combine the the triple points offer with a high value coupon or a high points value email offer then I'll spend $50 or $60. Triple points offers are mainly the icing on the cake for me. Alone, they won't give me any incentive to spend large amounts.

Interesting. Tuesdays and wednesdays must be 'slow' days. i see on line shopping has free delivery on a wednesday (may have had a $100 minimum spend)

I ended up spending $50 at Coles last Friday. I got the $10 voucher along with over 500 points from the shopping trip. I used 3 coupons and 2 docket deals. I also just happened to have another $10 worth of flybuys dollars as one of the payment methods.

My offer started at $50 for $10 voucher again. Once again it will be another easy $10 although I like the sound of the one that started at $10 for a $40 shop. Strangely enough I got a docket deal targeted at $40 spend for $2.50 off so I don't know why my email offer had a different starting target. I'll just have to make the starting total $52.50 or just over so the final total comes out just over $50.

I got the same offer as markis and blackcat. Here's a question. I know gift cards and tobacco are specifically excluded from the earning side of the voucher, but can you burn the $20 voucher on these categories?

I just got a very useful targeted offer from flybuys. Percentage wise it's the best I've seen from a flybuys email $off offer.

Spend $10 on fresh fruit and vegetables to receive $5 off your shop.

The offer is valid from today until March 2. There are no other spend requirements so if I went into Coles and only spent $10 on fruit and veg I would end up with a 50% discount. If I happened to only choose products that were on super special then the percentage savings would be even higher based on the normal product prices. The offer can only be taken up once.

I should be able to stack this with other offers as there are no terms and conditions which prohibit this. The $5 will come off as a discount so I will have to watch the final transaction amount to make sure it is above the minimum target for the other offers I want to take up. I'm glad I've got a couple of weeks to take up the offer.

I'll also need to watch the prices paid overall for my other products if I have another docket deal for the transaction. The "$5 off your shop" will be spread across all the products in the transaction so I'll have to factor that into all the products in any of my docket deals.

It is sometimes difficult to find $10 worth of fresh fruit and veg to buy in one transaction but with a bit of careful planning I should be able to do it.

The only other time I've been able to make a better return on a single flybuys promotion was the "simply less" promotion where the points paid for the promotion were higher in value than the amount of money I spent on the qualifying goods. That time I had to wait 6 weeks for the points but in the above promotion I'll get the reward instantly, provided things work properly.
