Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Thanks for your reply :) just wanted to check as I tried to do it yesterday, just swiped card through checkout as usual, spent $140 and it didn't work so I guess I'll follow up with flybuys although was slightly embarrassing and annoying lol

I wonder whether there was a timing issue.

I just went back and checked the original email offer. There was a specific time limit you had to use the $100 discount. The original email said that this time limit was 30 days from the date of the week 4 transaction. I used my $100 discount a week after the week 4 transaction so I didn't have to worry about the expiry date. If I'd left my discount to the last minute then the last day I could have spent it was September 29(today). If you shopped earlier than the Friday of week 4 then your cut off date would have been earlier than mine. If your week 4 transaction was on the Saturday or Sunday you might have another day or two to get the discount.

Good luck chasing things up with flybuys. If there has been a misunderstanding there might be something their call centre can do. If you're not happy with the first person you speak with, ask for a supervisor to call you back or ask for a supervisor to come to the phone. I hope things work out well for you.

I actually messaged them on Facebook just over a week ago as I knew there was a time limit and I couldn't remember. After giving them my details they wrote back and said it expired on 30/9 so hopefully they'll sort it out for me. Thanks for your advice though :)

Good luck. Let us know how it all works out.

My weekly Coles offer was 500 points for spending $60. It's a reasonable offer however I don't need much at Coles this week so I won't be stocking up just to get to the $60. I prefer offers which have a $50 or less target. I could combine the shopping trip with a couple of fresh food offers but even then it doesn't seem really worth it. I'll probably just spend about $10 on specials and products I only buy at Coles and use my double points docket deal and week 10 triple points coupon.

Any predictions about when the next lot of coupons will be out. In 2012 and 2013 Coles/Flybuys had coupon campaigns which ran across the Christmas/New Year period and I'm expecting them to do the same this year. They'll have to do a good job in order to compete against all the $ off your shop offers I'm getting from EDR at the moment.

I also received on offer. 500 bonus points for a $100 spend, not a good offer considering what's been offered in the past few weeks.

Received an email today:

Don't Miss Out: BONUS POINTS on your biggest shop!

But in the email it was actually 500 bonus points for an $80 spend. Not quite the same thing!

Looks like the work experience kids were sending out the emails and offers today

Anyway I received the following:
- Triple points on any shop at Coles Express, excludes fuel - valid until 5 Oct
- Spend $80 for 500 bonus points - valid until 5 Oct ..... I haven't spent $80 on groceries in months and don't need to
- Buy "fresh lamb" for 350 bonus points - valid until 15 Oct T&Cs state: 350 BONUS POINTS will be collected when you spend , in one transaction on fresh lamb at Coles between Thursday 2 October and Wednesday 15 October 2014. A maximum of 100 BONUS POINTS can be collected during the offer period. <<< Go figure
- Buy 8x250ml or 10x375ml Coke cans for 350 bonus points - valid until 12 Oct

Yes, I got lucky with a KMart offer as well. Spend $30 for 500 points. I very rarely go to Kmart but I should be able to find $30 worth of products that I would have otherwise gone to Target for.

I got triple points at Kmart. First time in a long time something from Kmart.

This is the first time I've ever received a targeted offer specifically for Kmart. I recall a joint promotion between Coles, Target and Kmart once around Christmas time but that's the only one I can think of. I've been hoping that Kmart would get into the bonus points game. I guess Flybuys have been listening to members comments regarding what types of bonus offers they would like.

Your right. Kmart has never in their own right sent us a targeted offer. I remember years ago when they had bonus points offers in store. I guess that has gone the way of the dodo.
I hope Big W see this and start offering bonus points offers again.

I got spend $40 for $10 voucher or 2000 points.

I like instant or almost instant rewards and I usually choose this over points which take 4 weeks to arrive. In this instance I chose the points. I convert all my points to flybuys dollars. I like flybuys dollars because they are a payment method rather than a discount. I can use them bit by bit instead of having to use them all at once.

If I try to take up a $50 target offer I can just get $50 worth of groceries and use the flybuys dollars to pay for part of the transaction. If I used the $10 voucher I'd have to take $60 of groceries and use the discount to go down to $50. I try to get as few groceries as possible otherwise I just end up stockpiling my free groceries. I do keep a stockpile but I want some of my "loyalty" savings to stay in my bank account rather than sit in the pantry.
