Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Received my book of coupons today and the offers are spend $50 and get $5 off alternating with triple points. For the Xmas week, it is a $7.5 discount on a transaction of $60 or more.

All in all, I am quite happy as the extra spend is very reasonable (an extra $15 per week compared to my normal spend).

Funny you mention that, mine arrived in the mail today.

Indeed, I was surprised when other members reported them arriving yesterday, things are tough in retail land, although I note the offer barriers have shot up apparently.

My coupons arrived in the mail today but after I left to go shopping. I have a busy schedule today so had to fit the shopping in when I did. My coupons are spend $50 for 1000 points alternating with triple points. The Christmas week coupon is spend $60 for 1500 points. I should be able to manage all of the bulk coupons and will spend as little as possible in the alternate weeks unless a really good email offer comes along.

I spend $50 on the Coles shopping trip today and got 1375 points and a $5 voucher which has to be used by next Friday. I'm happy with that result. I'll be able to use the week 1 coupon next week anyway so it won't go to waste.

Do not forget to re-educate the algorithm if your offer tripwire gets too high. Cut your spending using the FB card (separate your order perhaps) over a few weeks. Algorithm sees gradual delcine (say -20 to -25% a week) and then either zero spend or minimal.

Then your hook gets baited again.

There algorithm has been enhanced as for our family the latest offers for each account reflects the actual items that've been purchased on that FB card. I tailor some purchases to female/male cards to maintain 'reality'.

It does work.

What is interesting is that only the account with the largest regular spend gets the coupons mailed out. Possibly a minimum limit or regularity required to trigger that.

I got:
Spend $30, $40, $50 at Liquorland / First Choice for 500, 1000, 1500 points, double that if I purchase online.

2000 bonus points for $30 spend at Liquorland.

Hmm, does yours say "2000" or "up to 2000"? Mine says "Up to 3000" but the fine print makes no mention of any other number. And it's per transaction, too - an effective 50% discount if I were to get scientific!

Of course, this had to happen four days after I ordered wine online from Cracka...hmm, with my Coles Mastercard. They'd know that already, wouldn't they too, the sly buggers :P

Actually I activated the offer from their site before I got the email. Mine is up to 2000. Your right. the T&C's are ambiguous.

Say I have triple point offer, and 250 points for $5 spent on yoghart.

Does that mean, if I spend $5 on yoghart, I get 250*3=750 points?

In this instance you would receive separately for the $5 spend - 5 standard points, 10 bonus points (for the triple points offer), and 250 bonus points (for the other offer), so a total of 265 points.

I did my shopping today at Coles. I spent $50 and got 1250 combined base and bonus points(including my week 1 coupon for 1000 points) and also got a $10 voucher for spending $50. That works out to be about 30% savings across the entire transaction.

I'm impressed at the moment how quickly the bonus point offers are being credited. Most bonus point offers get posted the day after the transaction, even the weekly coupons.

The only recent promotions I am missing are some triple point emails where the offer was for the highest transaction during the promotion period. I know these bonus points couldn't be posted until after the promotional period ended due to the conditions on the offer. I'm just wondering how long these types of offers will take. I guess I'll have to wait until 4 weeks have passed before I chase them up, if I do chase them up. I didn't have any other offers pending when I took up the triple points offers so I didn't buy very much for these transactions.

Used up a 2000 points voucher with 1000 online for $80 purchase. Bought a couple of telstra prepaid $30 recharges to get me over the $80 mark as I didn't need to buy much.

All up for 3900 bonus points which helps to cut the cost of my mobile bill :)

Thanks for the feedback. For many of the Coles promotions, you should now be receiving bonus points at the same time as standard points - we appreciate members' patience in getting to this point. You are correct that at the moment you may still need to allow up to 4 weeks for the "points on your highest shop" promotions to be added, but we're working on reducing that as well. We are also trying to have better descriptions of transactions on our website to make it easier to check or reconcile your points. Finally, we are in the process of extending more of our promotions to Coles online shoppers.

Thanks for the information.

The bonus points from the "points on your highest shop" promotions have started to filter in and I guess the rest will come soon. I like the improved descriptions on the bonus points. This makes it much easier to track each offer. The Tell Coles extra information is very useful as now I can track which month has been paid. Thank you for finally crediting the October points and for crediting the November points so quickly. It's great that you are also including Coles online in some of your offers.

Did anyone get voucher offers this week by email?

My email offer for the week was triple points on my highest shop. I used this in conjunction with my week 3 coupon, a 1000 point docket deal for spending $60, a double points docket deal and a couple of product based offers. I ended up with around 2300 points for a $60 transaction.

I'm hoping to get a voucher offer next week which will be useful for getting Christmas presents.
