Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Just completed my 2nd weeks shop for the bonus points and no message this time on the docket to say 'congratulations you've qualified your 2nd week shop'.............keeping my receipt in case I have to prove I spent the qualifying amount. Maybe there wasn't enough room on the receipt this time, as I also got a docket deal + a liquorland deal. 2 down, 2 to go till I get my 10,000 points!!!!! excited much!

I didn't get a congratulations you've completed week 2 message either and I'm very concerned. The flybuys number was on the receipt and the current number of points for the account but no 2 weeks to go etc message. There were no tobacco products, gift cards or charity amounts in the transaction. Was anything other than those items excluded from the deal? The base points and the instant bonus points were credited today but I don't want to get a shock in a few weeks when I don't get my 10000 points. I'm hoping I'll get a message after my week 3 transaction on Friday of next week.

I got the congrats, a liquor land offer, a double points offer and a Optus $5 off recharge, docket was close to a metre long and I only bought four things .

 Just keep your receipt and I guess they can't argue then. I just bought general groceries - no tobacco, giftcards etc. and no other vouchers that discounted to below the qualifying amount, so I'm not too worried, but it isweird??? Who knows?

Got a "congrats' week two done.

Unfortunately got to the $80 (my wife did that is) without any of the backup 50% off specials. So I might become an over-achiever tomorrow and get wk3 done then. The cheap $10 24 toilet rolls, long life milk and a couple of other purchases will do it.

Sorry you didn't get the message. If you leave your details in a private message, we'll look into this and confirm for you, thanks.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not prepared to give out my flybuys details so you can track my comments here against my flybuys account. I just received an email reminding me to make my week 3 purchase. I'm hoping this means your offers system has a record that I qualified in week 2. I'll check my receipt later in the week and if there is a week 3 congratulations message then I'll assume everything is on track for the promotion. If there's no congratulations message then I'll chase it up directly with flybuys.

Yes, your assumption is correct - if you've received the week 3 reminder then you will have qualified for week 2. We did have some other reports of members not receiving their receipt message in week 2, so you may have been caught up in this - our apologies.

i don't believe this is right. I know i didn't qualify in week 2 but i've received a week 3 reminder. i don't think your system is working properly

I just found an offer in my flybuys account for 300 points if I filled out a survey on Insurance. Thanks flybuys. That was an easy 300 points. The survey uses the same website as the Tell Coles survey. It's a fairly quick survey and I found it easy to navigate.

We're confident our systems are working correctly. Is it possible another cardholder in your membership made the qualifying spend? We are happy to look into this further if you are comfortable sending a private message with your details.

I just completed my Week 3 shop for the 4 week promotion. The good news is that I got the Congratulations message on my receipt so it looks like things are on track. I was very happy.

I got just under 855 points for the transaction using a triple points coupon, a couple of email offers and 75 points Vegemite general offer which was advertised on the shelf(one specific jar size only). If you add the pro rata 2500 points to that then that takes the total points to 3355.

Next weeks points total should be even higher. I've got a 1000 point coupon plus a docket deal for 1000 points plus whatever other offers turn up between today and next Friday. After that I get at least a weeks shopping for free courtesy of this promotion.

maybe. I'll see what happens next week and let you know if there's a problem. thanks

I have a collection of targeted offers which I will be using for my shopping tomorrow which will be week 4 of the 4 week promotion for 10,000 points.

One of the offers I'll be using is 500 points for buying fresh meat. I've checked the email and my flybuys account and there is no minimum spend listed for the promotion. This means that in theory, if I could find a parcel of meat for under $2.50, I could make a profit out of the offer. The targeted offer would cover the cost of the meat and the difference between $2.50 and the price of the meat would be a profit. I know that Woolworths have parcels of meat under $2.50 sometimes but I'm not sure that Coles do.

As it happens though, I'm going to be buying a couple of lamb chops for a BBQ on the weekend and will probably spend between $5 and $10 so this time I won't make a profit but it will be a wonderful bonus given I was going to buy meat anyway.

I'll report my points collection tomorrow once I've completed the shopping.

I spent $50 today and qualified for the 4 week promotion of 10,000 points. I got a message to say that the points should be in my account within 48 hours. My guess is that they will appear tomorrow when the other points appear.

Below is the tally of points for the transaction.
50 base points
50 double points docket deal
500 fresh meat targeted offer
1000 docket deal for spending $50
1000 week 7 coupon
2500 pro rata from 4 week offer
TOTAL 5100 points
Worth just over $25 in flybuys dollars.

10000 points should cover the shopping next week and possibly the week after. My aim is to spend as little as possible next week. I doubt there will be any big offers after the 4 week promotion. The last time Flybuys ran a 4 week promotion the offers in the following weeks were fairly ordinary and it wasn't worth making large purchases unless there were really good specials. I'm guessing my target will go up from $50 to $70 which is more than I want to spend on a regular basis so that's another reason I'll be spending as little as possible. I want to get my average spend down again so I can attract reasonable offers.

Thanks. Credit posted successfully. Must have been one of the daughters. Thanks also for the offer of looking into it for us if needed

Christmas occurs on Thursday this week, the traditional day at the moment when the big value targeted offers start with Flybuys.

Do you think flybuys will offer the "weekly" offers all week to entice people to do their bulk Christmas grocery shopping at Coles.

I've got a 1500 point week 9 coupon for spending $60 to use that week and I'll probably be using that coupon between Monday and Wednesday instead of later in the week. With the right incentive I might be able to spend over $60 for that transaction. It's going to depend on the specials available as well as the fact that sometimes Coles varies their start and end dates for their catalogue around Christmas.

What sort of targeted offers do you think Flybuys will come up with for Christmas? The 4 week promotion offer was very generous so I don't know whether they will throw any good single week offers at members.

If you have a decent freezer - going along after 5pm sees all fresh meat marked down to 50% off. Came it across this by accident on one late Xmas present buying spree (1994) that year got meat worth $800 for $150. Lucky mother's freezer had some room as well as our own.

So always run dronw frezzer stores as Xmas approaches and load up late Dec 24. Has worked every year since then but now am more discerning and only buy 1 turkey for example. While I love turkey the rest of family object to 4 turkeys through the year - bah humbug!

Sounds like my parent's place. End up having turkey for all of Jan as they get such massive discounts!
