Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I've been busy so haven't reported much recently but here's my recap on targeted offers and bonus points paid for the last week.

Flybuys did what I expected and sent out the weekly offers last Sunday which run from Monday 22 December to Sunday 28 December. This gives members the best chance of taking them up for the Christmas grocery shopping. My offer was 500 points for spending $90. This doesn't really impress me as during the 4 week promotion they were effectively offering me 2500 per week for spending $50. I'll be spending $70 tomorrow and taking up the paper coupon offer of 1500 points for spending $60 and a docket deal of 1000 points for spending $70. I've also got a triple points on deli goods offer which will be useful as I've got plenty of deli goods which I need for Christmas.

I'm also going to get a 500gm packet of mince meat priced at $3. I got another of those 500 points for buying fresh meat offers so the price after the bonus points will be 50cents. Once again there is no minimum spend on the offer.

My 10X DVD bonus points were posted. I'm glad I won't have to chase that one up. My bonus points from the vegemite haven't posted yet but I'm hoping they post by the middle of January.

My Target bonus points posted. I got 1500 points for spending $80 at Target recently and I combined this with a $10 Target coupon. I got $90 worth of goods for $80 less the $7.50 value of the bonus points. I'm really happy that these points posted without me having to chase them. I've spent ages chasing bonus points from Target in the last couple of years so it was wonderful for these points to just appear in the account. I've redeemed them already for flybuys dollars as I had over 500 left in the account after redeeming the bonus 10,000 points for flybuys dollars.

Very little in the way of targeted offers around at the moment.

I've got an email offer of triple points for every shop at Coles this week. I'll probably make one small transaction tomorrow and combine the email offer with the weekly triple points coupon and a double points docket deal.

A friend of mine got a triple points offer on the largest shop. I have no idea how flybuys chose which offer to give members in this situation. I like my offer better but it's nice to know I can make another transaction if I want to later in the week and still get the triple points.

I've also got a 5x offer at Coles Express which is for both petrol and instore goods. I probably won't take it up as I can get a better deal at Woolworths/Caltex outlets using the 5% discounted Wish cards.

I think most of the Flybuys and EDR staff are on holidays. However they also know people have more purchases over Xmas and New Years.

I spent $20 today at Coles and paid for it all with Flybuys dollars. I used the multiple points deals mentioned above so I'll end up with 120 points for the transaction plus 500 points for the January Tell Coles survey. I got a docket deal on my receipt offering 100 points for any purchase before 8 January, no minimum spend. I'll use this next Wednesday when I do my next top up shop.

Flybuys this week have kept with the pattern of offers that last all week rather than just the Thursday to Sunday offers.

My email offer was 500 points for a $80 purchase at Coles. This is too high for me. I've got a paper coupon this week for 1000 points for a $50 spend so I'll just stick with this.

I'm guessing that if there are back to back coupon campaigns this year my target will increase too much and I won't be using many of the next lot of coupons. I think there is only a few weeks left on the current promotion.

I used my coupon today for 100 points for making any purchase at Coles before 8 January. I got some ham for just over $1 so flybuys paid for about half of that, provided the points get credited straight away.

A friend of mine was with me and they also had a 100 point coupon. They didn't actually need anything at Coles at the time. The Coles we went to were clearing out their Christmas stock. They had some gift tags with chocolate attached to them and were on special at 10 cents for a pack of 4 (with a total of 28 grams of chocolate). My friend got one packet of tags and swiped their flybuys card and the coupon so they got their chocolate effectively free and made 40 cents worth of points profit on the transaction.

Shopped at a non local coles lastnight. Reciept provided says something like (in bed, not getting up to check!) 100 or 1000 points on next purchase.

Rules: must be a minimum of $0.05c after any discounts are applied!

I'm totally going to use this, down to the cheapest item on the shelf!

I had one of these this week. Just in time for me to buy the Saturday paper.

I used one of these dockets last week. I think it is 100 points but it's worth using it. I also got another docket like this when I did my big Friday shop. I need to buy bread tomorrow so I'll use the voucher then.

My flybuys offer for Thursday to Sunday is triple points on my largest shopping trip. I'll probably do a small shop tomorrow and use this email offer and my week 12 coupon for triple points. Triple point offers, even two of them stacked on top of each other isn't enough for me to do a big shop of $50 or more. I'll aim to keep the transaction under $30 and just get the Coles specials and basics until I get to Woolworths on Monday where I'll be getting $50 of groceries and only paying $40.

I have also received the triple points offer for my largest shop.

I just rechecked my coupons collection. The week 12 coupon is the last one of the current promotion.

Hopefully they will issue new coupons soon but I'm not expecting very good ones this time as I used all of the 1000 points for $50 coupons which means they will probably increase my new coupons to $70 for 500 points. Maybe I've shopped with them too often and won't get coupons at all. I guess we'll see what happens soon.

Received a triple Points offer on all purchases at Coles from today to Sunday.

Also received (another) 100 bonus point docket offer for any purchase at Coles earlier last week. This is my second 100 bonus point docket offer after receiving one at the start of the month.

I have got this twice in 2 weeks, tried scanning it multiple times but only got one lot of points for each receipt.

that's weird. No trouble here. maybe 'our AFF' FlyBuys rep can have a chat to you about it.

I think the docket said that it was a one use only docket deal. I guess they finally got their programming correct. The double points docket deals used to work on multiple transactions until the expiry date but I've never managed to get any other docket deals to work multiple times.

same here. one use only. But it always works the once for us

My vouchers were in the letter box when I got home tonight.

Double points alternating with spend $40 for 500 points. A drop from last time's $60/500.
