Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Unfortunately (for us) the flybuys computers are rather good these days in that they apply the t&cs as published. For example Bunnings gift card won't count as spend in the current spend $xx for 4 weeks and collect $50. Fortunately Woollies computers are much less discerning.
I think Woolies have stopped talking to me! So I will take what I can get.

Well after not activating the offer a couple of weeks ago, I have been offered another.

Spend $50 for 4 weeks for 10k points. I should be able to manage this.

That's very interesting. flybuys used to run these promotions at the same time for all members involved in them. It looks like there are a couple of overlapping promotions rather than everyone involved getting them at the same time. I guess there's less chance of people comparing notes and complaining about targets. I would actually prefer to have a longer break between "4 week promotions" as it gets a bit difficult to commit to them almost back to back. I'm guessing if I get another offer after the current one they are going to put my target up.

My target has remained the same.

I got another triple points offer for the first few days of the week. I'll probably just do a top up shop on Wednesday so won't get many points for it.

Fly Buys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I have Just completed a targeted offer to spend $50 each week over a 4 week period and earn 10000 points ( worth $50 in value).

Now the same offer has appeared in my inbox for the next 4 weeks to earn another 10000 points.

That's a very easy 25% return on investment.
($200 spend over 4 weeks = $50 in points)

The competition have stopped talking to me too it appears.

Coles sure do want my custom.

I'm surprised our offer target has stayed at $50. I'm still getting offers from EDR so I'm choosing which ones to take up.

No offers for ages, except one for triple points on fuel. I scan my card for lots of small purchases so I guess they think I'm not worth it :)

Heading to Coles this week so that may trigger something.

500 bonus points for $50 spend at coles.

Plus Heineken offer.

Received a triple points offer on my biggest shop for Monday to Wednesday as well as double points on fruit and veg.

In addition, there is a handful of product specific promotions including selected bakery items, cleaning products and mushrooms.

Fresh on the heels of discovering EDR had not honoured a single bonus offer/coupon etc I checked into the Fly Buys last week (looked at some dockets over 35 day period and shock, horror - I was not even getting normal points 2 shops out of 3.

Was I scanning the card? Yes.

That's what I was checking - the points balance shown near the bottom of the Coles dockets. The points balance did not go up by a single 'bonus' offer (double points, triple points, 250 points, 500 points etc) but worse still did not even go up by the straight amount spent earning points on multiple occasions.

One string was about 8 days, 5 Coles dockets with around $280 spending and points balance went up 2 points despite every docket showing I'd scanned the card.

Chalk up another 30 minute initial phone call.

We're very sorry to hear about this. If you would rather leave details in a private message we'll be happy to look into this for you, as it sounds most unusual.

I got caught out this week with flybuys offers which is unusual for me. I don't think it affected how much I would have spent but it was a very interesting combination of circumstances and offers.

We were on holidays this week and only got back this morning. I had limited access this week to web and email access. I made sure to check my offers on Wednesday so I'd know what the late week offers were. I didn't expect a big offer as I've only just finished the 4 weeks promotion. I got a triple points offer from Monday to Wednesday and then another triple points offer arrived on Wednesday which was valid from Thursday to Sunday at Coles.

I went shopping today and spent $30 at Coles and used my weekly coupon for 500 points for $30 spend, a double points docket deal and the above mentioned triple points email offer.

When I finally got access to my email later this afternoon I realised flybuys had sent another email on Thursday offering me $5 off for spending $60 and $15 off for spending $90. Both targets were too high anyway but it was still annoying to find out after my shopping trip that there were more offers available for the one shop. I'm going to be doing a $90 shop at WW tomorrow to take up week 3 of the 4 week offer there so I didn't really want to spend much at Coles anyway. I have no idea why flybuys changed their offer pattern and sent offers on a Thursday and why I was eligible for 2 Coles email offers in one offer period.

The Thursday offers weren't worded very well and I'm guessing flybuys had complaints about them. I received another email late this afternoon clarifying the details of the $5/$15 offer. The first email implied that this was an instant discount off your shop. Apparently it was a voucher promotion for a specific amount off your next shop and it had to be used within 7 days of the initial shop. These offers aren't much use to me anyway for various reasons so I'm really glad I didn't take it up.

Did anyone else get two email offers this week from Coles/Flybuys?

Did anyone else get two email offers this week from Coles/Flybuys?

Yes I did. I was particularly unimpressed with the discount offer - spend 110 for 5 or 140 for 15. I occasionally spend 80 - 90 at Coles but 140! Way too high and I am certainly not going to try for 110 with such a trivial return.

Has anyone received any of the regular late week offers from Flybuys/Coles?

The offers usually arrive on a Wednesday and are valid from Thursday to Sunday. I wonder whether last weeks multiple offer promotion means that late week offers are changing back to Friday to Sunday offers. Or maybe my account isn't getting any offers for a few weeks after I qualified for the 4 week promotion.

No flybuys offers for Coles for the late week timeframe. I got a triple points offer at Target instead. This is the first late offer stage week for months that I haven't had an offer from flybuys for Coles.
