Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

New Coupons in today. Went from 500 points for $30 coupons to $80 for 500 points on alternate weeks. 750 bonus points for $90 coupon for xmas week.
Couple of Liquorland coupons for wine and cider. Couple of coupons for Coles products.

I decided to take up the triple points on all gift cards at Coles offer. I made two purchases, one on Monday and one on Tuesday, the last day of the offer.

On Monday I bought just over $1 of groceries and a $200 Coles group gift card. On Tuesday I used a small amount of that gift card at Target. Later in the day I got about $20 worth of stuff from Coles and purchased another $200 Coles group gift card. I paid for it with a combination of Amex plus the remaining balance from the first Coles group card. I used the self serve checkout. After the Coles staff member authorised the gift card she went to help another customer and the system didn't have any trouble with me paying part of the amount of a gift card with another gift card.

The points for the first purchase have just been credited to my account. I got one base point and a separate entry with 600 bonus points. I wasn't sure how the bonus would be calculated and credited but I'm very happy with the correct amount of bonus points.

Coupons arrived and so did inflation! A $40 a spend increase from the coupons in May.

Looks like WoW may get more business than planned.

My coupons arrived today. 500 points for $50. I should be able to use most of them. Triple points in other weeks. There were a few product specific coupons but I'll only be able to use one of them. I liked the general product group coupons where I could choose any $10 worth of fruit and veg for 100 points or similar types of offers. I've never bought most of the products on the coupons.

My coupon sheet gives me 1000 bonus points for spending $170 or more (and triple points on alternative weeks). I might spend that much in a week - but not usually in one go. Prefer to shop daily or every second day. Although it is an incentive to change my shopping patterns.

So my Flybys coupons arrived today....all pretty much 500 bonus points for a $30 shop ( 11 in total) plus a few triple points offers thrown in as well ( no minimum spend) .

One coupon for 750 bonus points for a $40 shop over Christmas week.

So easy!

Just waiting to see the wash-up from the impending Decision from EDR with changes to their loyalty program and it will be a no brainer where I'll be doing a lot of shopping over the next 12 weeks.

Very low thresholds. I assume you don't shop there very frequently.

I never owned a flybys card 6 months ago, but with the number of EDR points offering drying up over the last 6 months or so, I thought I would take a walk over to the "other side" and see what the fuss is all about at Coles . ( where I hardly ever shopped in the past)

So this time last year, I would have had no recorded spend history with Coles, which I believe is the reason quite possibly behind the such low spend threshold.

It certainly works for me.

I suspect Coles will be very clever with the analytics of their flybys database in the next few months with many customers identified and profiled to make the switch over from their nearest competitor.

Some good solid easy points offering might just do the trick along with a partnership with another leading airline :)

I haven't received coupons yet, hopefully I will so.

Flybuys may want to look at their wording at the current offers otherwise I'm seeking 300 points and double points for shopping in store. Yes, I know what the T&Cs are but the Titles should be clearer.
