Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Got one for triple points on the biggest shop between Monday and Wednesday. Did a $150 shop on Monday night, and used the 500 points for > $90 weekly voucher, so that's nearly another 1000 points.

I decided to wait until late in the week to use our Week 3 coupon. We'll be using it on Friday for a $60 shop. We will use the 500 points week 3 coupon. a docket deal for 1000 points, a double points coupon for 60 points, a triple points email for 120 points, a hommus dip coupon for 100 points and base points of 60. All up that's 1840 which equates to just over $9 in flybuys dollars. We have some points in the account already so once the points are credited we will be able to redeem $10 flybuys dollars. These points work out at about a 15% discount on the shopping trip. I've gotten as high as 40% return before but it's rare to get this high. I like to get at least 10% back. I never spend more than the coupon amount in the transactions.

Got a offer for CROP skincare, buy any product for 700 bonus points. Bought the hand cream and it's pretty good. If I wasn't interested in buying the brand I wouldn't have done it, though.

Spent $76 and got 928 points (700 pts for hand cream, triple points coupon). I used $10 flybuys credit so it was actually $66. Not too shabby.

I got a rather ambiguous offer from Flybuys for Target. Get 5x points for online spend. The problem is that the terms and conditions once again don't match the image and wording that is displayed in my account. When I look at my account the offer is summarised as get 5x points in store and this description is used multiple times. The offer is for clothing only.

As a past occasional user of Flybuys I am impressed by the current "Spend $50 a week for 3 weeks". Week 1 gave me 1670 FB's for $120 spend. Week 2 was 1866 points for $104 spend and Week 3 will be a bumper reward with over 3000 FB'. I will easily get $30 back for spending a little over $300. Having learned about double dipping with coupons I don't think we will be seen in Woolies very often.

Check the expiry date of your docket deals from the receipts carefully.

Docket deals like the double points and 1000 points for X spend used to have approximately two weeks life on them before they expired. I think this has changed. I got a docket deal for double points on Wednesday. The expiry for that docket was 17 November which is about a week from issue date. In my opinion docket deals are loaded onto accounts on Wednesday.

The docket deals used to go for about 2 weeks which was useful to me. I do my trigger shopping on a Wednesday and my bulk shopping on Fridays. Bulk to me is anything $50 and above. The 2 week expiry period gave me the choice of 2 Fridays to decide when I would use the 1000 point docket deal. I liked this flexibility as sometimes I'd have a quiet week and then the following week I could use both a double points docket deal and a 1000 point docket deal. The pattern at the moment seems to be a double points docket deal one week and 1000 point docket deal the following week. I haven't seen any other variations in the docket deals for a couple of months.

Has anyone else noticed anything similar with their docket deals both in expiry dates and types of offers?

My docket deals have always been a week, which has seen me caught out before.

Got the christmas offer of Spend and Earn; gone up to $110 a week to earn the same $50....

I got a 4 week promotion, spend $50 for 10,000 points. I should be able to manage that in the lead up to Christmas.

$80 for 4 weeks for 10,000 points. Up from $60 for the last period. I'm out. They'll have to lower their offer for me to take it up.

$90 for 4 weeks = count me out. Finding it hard to find $90 for get 1,000 points offer.

I have passed on the last 2 offers and now it has increased a further $10 to $100 per week. I am passing again.

My latest offers have come with a threshold of $210 . New high score! Clearly I should spread the shopping around a bit more.

Does anyone know if these threshold are determined by the account or an individual card?

If I use the cards of other family members which are linked to my account, will my spend thresholds come down?

It's based on the one account. If you use multiple cards on that account then the target will probably be just above the average of the total of all the cards used per week. If you want to lower your threshold make lower transactions each week or don't scan your card for every transaction.
