Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

A friend of mine who didn't do the 4 week offer also got the 3 week offer today. The points return isn't as good when you combine the average of the 3 weeks.

Flybuys doesn't love us any more.

No offers other than bland "You can save $D.CC with our specials this week."

Shame EDR is no more... Pacific pesos just don't do it for me....

Got the same offer!

Loving all these great Promotions from Coles.

Don't miss Woolies at all !

We have found a great Coles on Swan Street Richmond that has only opened a few months ago and is our go to store now when travelling between the CBD & the eastern Suburbs.

I found a 'taco-sauce' style flybys bonus points item at coles the other day... buying $135 worth of the item would net the etihad points needed for one way SYD-ZQN. Unsure of expiry date on the promo, or if it's all stores. Not incredible value, but if anyone finds it useful I'm happy to share via PM...

Is there a limit of the number of times or items that can be used for the promotions. I've had several offers in the last two years where I got back more money than I spent but there were limits to how many times the offer could be taken up.

Did you say Taco sauce!

More details please - satisfy kids and get points - priceless...

I am currently into Week 4 of the Spend $70 x 4 weeks, get $50 back.

I have just noticed that my receipt from the shop last week (~$95) didn't show the congratulations you have hit the week 3 spend as it normally does even though the flybuys credited.

Should I be worried, or is it a case of I will be ok once I spend the ~$70 this week at Coles?

Flybuys had an issue with this a couple of promotions ago. Some members got the message and some didn't when they made the completed spend. It would be nice if there was a way of checking the flybuys account for an update on the progress of the promotion. The 4 week offers tend to disappear out of the account listings after the first week.

I was one of the members who didn't get a receipt confirmation one week but got it the following week and got my points for the promotion. There is a good chance you have qualified but check the list of exclusions in the fine print of the email just in case one of your products wasn't included in the promotion.

Sorry about this. We'll look into this to check that our receipt messaging was working properly last week and let you know.

Thanks for the response - I have just received an e-mail stating I have one week left, so that should be ok. I will know for sure when I complete my weekly shop later on this afternoon!

We've checked with the technical team and can confirm there was an issue with the message printing on receipts during the morning of 7th December. Aside from that, and this may not have applied to you, some members miss out on the message if another cardholder in the household spent the required amount prior, as the message is only printed once. However, we're glad you received the follow-up email. Let us know if you have any further concerns.

After 4 weeks of $70 shopping or more at Coles (total spend $303), I finally got the 10000 FB points bonus.

Took some effort but having a newborn helps as I stock up on cheap Huggies nappies as well as baby wipes.

With all those mail in and receipts coupons, I got 16796 FB points ($83.98 value). So it is equivalent of getting 27.7 cents for every dollar spend at Coles which is pretty amazing.

Or I can convert them to 6718 Etihad Guest points, which is almost 6900 points for redemption of say SYD-ZQN or SYD-CNS award.

I got my 10,000 points as well. If I'd added $10 of stuff to my grocery stockpile I could have gotten another 1500 points, $7.50 worth, but I decided to keep the $2.50 instead of adding to the already large stockpile.

You can always redeem them to Etihad points and redeem for VA awards. There are some really good redemptions for 6900 Etihad points.

If you know good ways of redeeming Etihad points it probably makes sense to convert them.

I will make a confession on AFF which I haven't made for a couple of years. I don't actually fly. I'm just using the point schemes to save money on groceries. If I make it to retirement age we'll go flying then and by that time I'll know all the tricks of how to get the best deals with the airlines and their loyalty programs.

Congratulations on your newborn. Our children are growing up fast but we're happy to take holidays close to home before we take them around the world.

I love your idea of combining the 10,000 bonus with the weekly coupons and docket deals. I attempt to do the same thing but it didn't work in week 4 as I mentioned above.
