Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Mine - Spend $90 for 4 weeks/10K (up from $60)
Husband - Spend $70 for 4 weeks/10K (he wasn't targeted last time)

We can do them both this time but if mine goes up anymore I will have to scale back until they drop it. I had a few concurrent 2000 points for $90-100 spend last time and I went for it because I need Velocity right now.

4*50 for Mrs excel and 4*60 for me (I completed the 4*50 last time round).
Overlaps with the last week of a 4*60 at Woolworths for me but should be feasible to do both given cozzie livs, weekly grocery bills under $110 would be a dream

I'll mention in-case it helps someone. Last month I was received a we've missed you spend $50 online get $20 off offer. No matter how many times I tried to activate it, even ordering over the $50 + $20 amount (i.e. $84) the offer would not activate. Took 5 emails to get them to acknowledge they'd sent me a dud. So they credited my account with $20 to be used at next online shop. At the same time I was near the end of a $50 x 4 for 10k pts offer so I applied the $20 code on the final shop of $64. My points did not credit and I did not discover this until well afetr the spend period had finished. I emailed, again around 5 times, not getting any satisfaction until finally a response that they would credit the 10k bonus points but be aware (they'd already told me earlier) the qualifying spend must be more than the qualifying amount PLUS any discount used. That is I needed to spend $50 + $20 = $70. Hope this helps.

The conditions usually spell out that the $50 needs to be after discounts, vouchers etc. It can be a bit of a minefield knowing the difference between a 'form of payment' and a 'discount voucher'!

Just another lesson learnt on lifes journey. Seems like your going to get caught out sometime, somewhere, no matter how careful you are.

3 x $50 and 2 x $60. Decisions, decisions.

Spend $130 in one shop at Coles each week for 4 weeks = 10,000pts

Spend $180 in one shop at Coles each week for 4 weeks = 20,000pts

Completed this 20k FBs just couple weeks ago.

Give it a miss this time. We prefer FBs but hate the shop has to be completed in a single visit. Major deterrent for us.

Wait for EDR offer. Aldi until then.
If you happened to have 3 or more people in your household then for a spend of $150 pw (suitably managed) over the 5 weekends total spend of $600 you'd get 30,000 points. Each would need to have their own separate (not sub) account so they receive the offers. Even if there are just two of you then you'd still be better off by potentially receiving 2 x 10k points for just $100 spend (2 x $50).

Not so good if you hunt the 'credits' products (like the current baking ware) for accumulating the credits but for our family the points harvest (& sitting in SIA J) more than makes up for it.

If we just followed the preferred Cole's/Wow's approach we'd be back in Y.

Thanks, yes totally agree.
Working on additional family members atm, ha.

SIA QR is place to be!

Interesting I got $60 per week for 4 weeks for 10,000 points when I just finished the same for $70 per week. They normally go up not down

Great, except the wife wasted 2000 points for $10 off this week, apparently a new prompt on the self-checkout... she just clicked YES

NOT HAPPY
I’ve seen that too on Mrs H’s account for about the last six months.

Yet that prompt hasn’t appeared for any of the other family members accounts.

I wonder if turning it off is a configurable option with Flybuys, a bit like EDR’s bank for Christmas.

Yes, I get the good promos too.

What's interesting is that Woolies seem to have stopped offering them as frequently, so I wonder what their strategy is.

I guess they're making such phat prophets that they couldn't care less...

Mastercard gift cards.

Buy a $100 Mastercard giftcard + $5 activation fee and get 2000 Flybuys points. Maximum of 5 per account so for us with 2 accounts it's $50 free for a little stuffing around.

Note many stores run out during these promotions so I have a stash in the car I can use when the promotion is on.

Interesting, as she said she's never seen it before and using my account today, I didn't get it.

No option that I could see to turn it off :(

Has been coming up on our 2 accounts for months. I just hit Decline as I want to use the Flybuys points for domestic flights.
