That's pretty good although I cannot see myself lasting that long.Six weeks, a start but a long way to go to catch me with > 21 years of abstinence.
Sounds like good advice.JohnK, why don't you try staying off the grog? You've lost a stack of weight which is fantastic and you've mentioned several times it has a bad effect on you. Alcohol is a huge contributor to depression and weight gain.... Would love to see you stay off it for a while and try again with some moderate exercise and diet![]()
The key to drinking alcohol is to be able to understand the word "moderation" and be able to have self control. There is nothing wrong with having 3-4 beers after a game of golf. The problems start when the drinking continues after one has gone home and before you know it you find yourself in the pub up the road till 3:00am. There goes 1-2 days out of a person's life trying to recover.
Lounges and "free" alcohol do not help....
