That's pretty good although I cannot see myself lasting that long.Six weeks, a start but a long way to go to catch me with > 21 years of abstinence.
Sounds like good advice.JohnK, why don't you try staying off the grog? You've lost a stack of weight which is fantastic and you've mentioned several times it has a bad effect on you. Alcohol is a huge contributor to depression and weight gain.... Would love to see you stay off it for a while and try again with some moderate exercise and diet
The key to drinking alcohol is to be able to understand the word "moderation" and be able to have self control. There is nothing wrong with having 3-4 beers after a game of golf. The problems start when the drinking continues after one has gone home and before you know it you find yourself in the pub up the road till 3:00am. There goes 1-2 days out of a person's life trying to recover.
Lounges and "free" alcohol do not help....
