It's a hard life, Taittinger and Tanq10 while JQ passengers were shoting yaeger in the JQ toilets that they picked up duty free :p

It was tough :)

(nlagalle, digitalrampage is the one who was at the table with us; he's suddenly decided to speak up around here more :P)

Anyway I'm still not a big fan of "bubbly"I think it's overrated, but I'm sure there are plenty of champagne connoisseurs out there in FF land which makes my opinion just that-my opinion, not asking anyone else to agree with me.
I have to agree with you though. Just as well I have never acquired the taste for vinegar water.... err.... I mean champagne or wine.

It's everywhere in bottles but only ADL has it on tap. Pale Ale being the cloudy beer that it is just has to be appreciated out of a tap.

Yep, any beer is better on tap. But pale is just fine out of the bottle. Just get them to 'turn' your beer before pouring. Personally, I don't drink the sediment if I can help it.

Qantas have the 1999 Delamotte Blanc de Blancs in the First lounge today. I am thoroughly enjoying it!

On Mon 1 Aug, the MEL F lounge had a 4th choice, Vueve A. Devaux. I Tried a sip, but stayed with Bollinger :)

Oh, it was my first time in the Mel lounge, was comparing to the measly 3 choices in Syd lol.

It comes and goes. It's not that spectacular, although I find the Bollinger rather boring; it's got very little flavour (the Bollinger Rosé on the other hand is spectacular; it's a shame that went!).
Whereas I'm the opposite, I quite like the Devaux!

I am sure most know but they are now down to 3 champagnes in the SYD First Lounge

Taittinger Brut Reserve
Vevue Clicquot Ponsardin
Bollinger Special Cuvee

All 3 taste the same to me as I am not a champagne drinker.

Alas it's been like that for a while now. I'm really not a fan of the Bollinger; it's very bland. The Rosé they had on the other hand, was sublime.

I'll stick to my Taittinger *shakes fist at notzac*

Now if only they had Bollinger La Grand Annee ... it's not stupidly priced like Krug / Dom but my god is it fantastic.

See there is no way I could describe champagne that way.

I had a glass of all 3 and I cannot tell one from the other. In fact as I said they all taste the same so you probably could have given me some cheap Cuvee/sparkling and I would not have known the difference.

The day I can tell the difference in champagnes is the day I start to worry....
