So I'm pretty sure a number of you have transited to and from Europe out of Frankfurt, something I have never done before.

My flight leaving Frankfurt on Lufthansa back to Sydney leaves at 19:35, my Vueling flight from Barcelona arrives at 17:15. Is 2 and a bit hours enough time at Frankfurt? It was either that flight or arrive at Frankfurt at 9am and "kill" the rest of the day, as those being the only two reasonably priced flights back to Frankfurt. Now I'm starting to second guess my decision.

I know the Germans are known for their efficiency, but can they be that efficient? Vueling has a "Bring it Forward" service which allows you to board an earlier flight free of charge on the same day subject to seats, but that's on the day and there's no guarantee.

Any insight would be appreciated

I've only been through Frankfurt once transferring from JFK(Singapore Airlines), FF to BKK(Thai) and we accidentally went through passport control and had to re-enter which wasted a bit of time. We asked 3 or 4 ground staff and showed them our onward tickets but we didn't seem to be able to transit without entering the country. It probably cost us 15 minutes and a long walk. Maybe check which terminal you will be arriving and departing from?

I transferred yesterday from Thai to Lufthansa and found it very efficient. My only observation is that the terminals are large and there's plenty of walking involved. Mine took no more than 20 mins. Just follow the signs and you'll be fine if there are no major inbound delays.

I have used Frankfurt a number of time, and it is a very efficient airport. Transferring between terminals is by small train, and a Little walking.
You should have no problems with the time allowed.

I might be the only one here, but I did not like transferring through FRA.

Had a 1 hour connection BKK-FRA-BUD, TG(F) >LH(J). TG rep whisked me through. Lots of lifts, escalators and walking. However, doing BUD-FRA-BKK transfer was much easier, go figure.....lol.

As Bundy Bear said, the incoming ride is your biggest worry, but 2 hours is plenty of time at FRA.
