Free wireless in the QP

Can confirm access in the Coral Sea Lounge (posh term for small QP) in MKY.

Can also confirm no HP, just HP light, VB, Gold & Mid, but with 4 hours until my flight, I am sure I will find one I like!

Well it took me 2 1/2 hours to realise the xx_X was off, so I have sinced switched to VB.

Just checked in, and been informed that the death star flight is running about a hour late! (meaning 5 1/2 hours in the Coral Sea Lounge, thank god for wireless! and beer!!).

Oh well, I hope the wife isn't expecting coherent conversation when I get home.

Well here I am in the OOL QP, on my 2nd Southern and Coke, about 1 1/2 hours til my once-in-a-blue moon Death Star flight.

Wireless connection - not a hassle. Works quite well! I must say though, I love this QP! It's nice and small and cosy, not a lot of people (ie, no crowding around the bar and food servery-thing). AND - they have more than the average crackers/soup/olives/ham&salami/coughpy salad!
Wedges, Party pies, little muffin things! Stuff that you can actually enjoy eating
I wonder how long it's going to be until QF closes down such QP's as this. With only 1 QF flight now serving OOL (SYD-OOL), I reckon it won't be long!

Thought I would dig out this old thread just to let you all know that I have finally got the free wireless to work in the BNE dom QP!! (it has only taken 8 trips!).

So what ended up being the problem? I have had problems before in motels that offer free wireless internet, but never in the QP.

In PER dom QP it is always so over subscribed that you get time-outs for everything.

I've only had that problem once in PER Dom (with about 20 visits there so far this year), and most of those have been in peak times.

Given that this thread has been revived, has anyone seen any movement at SYD T2? Was there about 3 weeks ago for a meeting/flight and still no free wireless broadband. Never mind I had 4 hrs between the meeting finish and my regional flight out, so went over T3 to use the service there.

Um I have used T2 stacks and its been free!
