So not all of the deaths were attributable to covid-19, some were asymptomatic admitted and died for other reasons.

Strange. I would have thought such information would have been fundamental to disclose immediately, given the emotional sensitivity of many people to the matter.

The idea that 160 vaccinated people died of/with Covid-19 I imagine would spook many. But were they people with co-morbidities, or an unfortunate pre-disposition to some genetic fragility such as afflicts those with the rare clotting disorder?

What information is available in the analogous flu vaccination situation to gain some perspective on the issue?

As throughout the pandemic deaths are reported if they die of Covid or with Covid if they die usually within a month of diagnosis.
Note also the total number of cases of Covid after full vaccination are almost certainly much higher than reported as the trials have shown that asymptomatic cases are higher numbers than symptomatic cases.

A littlemore digging and found that the median age of the 2% of breakthrough covid cases (cases post full vaccination) which resulted in death in USA was 82. So quite a high likelihood they didnt develop a strong immune response and/or had comorbidites.

"The median age of patients who died was 82, and 28 of these patients were asymptomatic or died from a cause unrelated to Covid-19."

Exactly why we also shoudlnt be worried about 2% death rate on breakthrough cases (when breakthrough cases are minute, well under 0.01%). Even if 100% of people are fully vaccinated there will always be some people who fail to develop any immunity, Covid wont disappear.

The goal of vaccines was to minimise serious illness to not overwhelm our hopsital system not guarantee no one will ever get covid. It is a fact that when elderly people get ill, they have a higher death rate from almost all illnesses, we should not expect survival rate to be better than flu.

This is totally different as it is the BCG being used as the vector for a covid vaccine.
It should be cheap,plus being one shot only with a chance of reducing the rates of transmission of both TB and covid.just imagine how that will play out in poorer countries of Africa,Asia and South America.It would have a huge market.
