Some more assorted reports. The SA CHO should read this one.

More associations with severe disease.

And another report that covid numbers in the USA are very much on the low side.

And having the common cold gives you some protection from Covid.

I can’t even relay the dumbness of the dumbasses I had to speak to today, we take turns on the frontline because it’s exhausting. Mostly people from regional NSW and QLD today. Anyway wayyy off topic.
For arguments with the silly antivaxxers who think that covid can be cured by I just give them the names of 2 trials to look up.
From the University of Oxford which is currently looking at Invermectin

And via the Recovery trial which showed HCQ was not effecctive but has looked at several other currently available drugs.

They often reply but I don't believe the Governments tell the truth.Simple answer -your belief is selective as you wouldn't be still out of prison if you didn't believe in taxes.so go away hypocrite.
As you can see I have given up trying to reason with them as one can't.

Some more on covid.
FDA authorises a treatment for post exposure to Covid.

Remdesivir not effective in a new trial.

Myocarditis/pericarditis is much worse if due to covid infection.

Plus our efforts against covid has had an adverse effect on the treatment of other severe infections.

So although many AZ fans here claim Pfizer offers less protection over longer term this study does not concurr

On the other hand there is israel.
That article is not the only study out there and i have posted some with different results. This is not unusual in Medicine.

So although many AZ fans here claim Pfizer offers less protection over longer term this study does not concurr

Most important line in that article is this
“‘I think the most important thing is for people to get vaccinated with whichever vaccine they can get access to,’

Let’s get over the AZ/Pfizer fight.

Go out and get jabbed with what’s available wherever you are.

Thanks Dr Ron! Although I’d prefer just to give them directions to walk backwards down a short road off a high cliff :)

But of course I don’t….just usually end up in a version of ‘We will all get covid soon enough and if you want to be armed with the best tool to fight it off then step up otherwise take your chances bye now’

On the other hand there is israel.

Where hospitalisations due to fading protection has most heavily hit 65+, which funnily enough is the cohort being prioritised for boosters in USA (60+) and UK (50+). More to do with age and poor health in older people than vaccine given.

Does anybody have a link to a detailed document of the Victoria covid restrictions? The Vic Gov web site is horrendous.

Apparently I can't go and maintain a deceased family members regional property (I'm the executor). I haven't been there in almost 3 months since their passing due to the restrictions. It's a huge property with grass, many large trees and backs onto bushland. The person I spoke to on the covid hotline said people can't visit deceased estates according to the documentation they had, bloody ridiculous times we live in...

This is a link to the actual Directions document for Melb:

Some more about Covid. Those who have had covid have significant antibody levels out to 13 months which is longer than after vaccination. This occurs just as well in those >65.

Diabetics have a very much greater risk of severe covid and death. Some more recent treatments appear to lessen that risk substantially.

People who have been infected really do not need to be vaccinated. After all they have already been vaccinated by with the true facsimile

There does not seem to be any data on whether any of the 2jab numbers include people with 2Jab plus inhaled Covid.

who have been infected really do not need to be vaccinated

Depends on which variant they had and whether a newer or tweaked verson of vaccine will bolster protection for other variants.

People who get the flu dont have protection against all future flus for life, why would you expect Covid to be ajy diferent?

I had Rubella at age 9, it didnt allow me to skip the mandatory jab at school in grade 6 two years later.

Depends on which variant
Well there are not different antigen tests for the different variants. And the vaccines were developed using the B1.1.7 sequence - so called alpha variant and yet it is protective against all current known sequence variations. The protection in the midst of differences in RNA sequences could be due to antibody expression from stable parts of the virus, or T cell activation
Some people who recovered quickly from Covid were found to have antibodies to related coronaviruses -possibly activating the T cell immunity which do not require 100% lock and key.
Would be very interesting to find out if there have been people who got infected with different strains of covid at different times.

Remember that coronaviruses account for up to 40% of the common cold

There are some who are studying the corona viruses who believe you should still have the jab as reinfections sometimes occur quite early.

The only people i know worldwide who have actually had covid are a good friend and her Mum in Chicago, who both had it in 2020 and both fully recovered despite my friend having congenital heart condition and having had mutiple heart surgeries as a child. Both were advised by their doctors to still get vaccinated, and both were earlier this year without issue.

So if its not harmful, why wouldnt you get jabbed despite already having had covid?

Lots of health recommendations are not harmful and even beneficial. But...
How is the obesity epidemic going?...
How is the safe sex recommendations going?
How is the alcohol in moderation recommendations going?
How is the don't drink and drive message going?
How are the smoking rates?

Medicine is not about the application of logic. Rather it is the continual application over long periods of time of a relationship between a health provider and patient, between government and the electorate, and the execution of sound health policies, that increase health outcomes - underpinned by trust

That is one reason why the application of medicine should never mandated, or coerced. Encouraged yes through a partnership.

People who have been infected really do not need to be vaccinated

Yet overseas doctors are recommending that people who have had covid still get vaccinated. I posted just one example.

If i somehow got covid and recovered i would expect to still be able to access the vaccine and annual/bi-annual boosters, we dont deny people who have had the flu future flu vax, nor should we for covid vaccinations.

I was made to get rubella vaccine despite having had rubella and fully covered from it.

What is so special about a Covid infection that you would deny that person a vaccine when well?

No is denying anyone anything. i dont make the rules. I am just making the point that those infected with Covid have a level of immunity. In which case they don't need to be vaccinated. Similarly 3jabs are still being evaluated - the main question is that they do increase seroconversion but are they needed... Same.
