Pfizer's CEO sold $5.6 million worth of stock on Monday. The company says the stock sale was made as part of a preset plan. But NPR found irregularities about when the CEO entered into that plan.

The US has set another few records that are not exactly encouraging news for them -

- recorded 150,000 new infections in a day - just 8 days after the 100,000 mark was reached for the first time.

- hospitilisations have also reached record levels, double that of 5 weeks ago. Daily deaths now reaching 1,000.

- California has joined Texas in recording 1,000,000 cases.

And today the figure has jumped up to over 160,000 - a 72% rise on a 14 day trend basis while deaths have risen 37% rise over the same period.

The UK certainly looks like a second wave and their has been another mutation making the virus more infective.

Now that we're back into the new seasons of TV shows, lots which were delayed from their usual September/October start dates.... some are starting to show COVID and work it into the story. I find it slightly odd though that they'll wear a mask .... but then take it off a lot, or take it off to speak, etc. It's no wonder the US rates have gone in the direction they have, as you could imagine people would be watching TV and mimicking what they see, which is not setting a good example.

Shows so far I've noted that in are NCIS: New Orleans and Law & Order: SVU.

It's no wonder the latest South Park episode took the mick out of it, by people wearing their mask on their chin going around saying that's their protection

- some in experiencing their second wave Texas Coronavirus: 1,106,235 Cases and 20,218 Deaths (COVID-19 ) - Worldometer
- and some in their third Washington Coronavirus: 137,068 Cases and 2,533 Deaths (COVID-19 ) - Worldometer

For context when looking at the figures Flashback posted, Victoria peaked at ~98 cases/100,000 over previous 14 days on 8 August and was above 50 (where Finland is at) for about one month from 23 Jul to 24 August

Yes it’s like looking at Australia and 2nd wave yet was really largely VIC related. Aware different states will be on different trajectories but as a whole the US isn’t doing great.

An interesting article from the NY Times about Province (State) Border closures in Canada. Seems as though the same arguments as here are being made by both sides in regard to the closures. Of course one of these Maritime Provinces is literally a step away from the Covid-19 mess that is the U.S.A.
