Gift Cards at Supermarkets

Apologies. A 1.5 point per $ Amex card would earn 3 points per $ at Coles and a 1 point $ Amex card would earn 2 points per $ at Coles? I included a 15% bonus transferring to Velocity.

The Flybuys earning would compensate the activation fee in the card. That I understand but still think the 2,000 Flybuys points for $10 shopping voucher would be much better use of Flybuys points than 870 Velocity points.

So the net gain on this deal would be the Amex points for purchasing the Coles Mastercard?

I'd only transfer to VA points if there were a bonus
One disadvantage of the $100 shopping voucher is that you 'lose' 300 Edge MR points and 100 Flybuys by doing so

It is usually pretty easy to buy a WISH with an eWISH if you mix it up with other goods (at any checkout).
WW self-serve staff don't seem to police the transactions much though I have had a refusals at BigW

Remember to swipe the Card once the payment is done, this is the last thing you must do before running away like a little girl coz you extended the life of the egiftcard

Needs Staff to load the amount in.

Same experience here, esp at Big W. Do the GC first. Then go to the rest of your trolley. Agent will likely get called to a different self serve to help.

Did some of you get a different offer to the one I'm looking at?

Offer valid only at Coles Supermarkets, (excludes Coles online, Bi-Lo and Coles Express), subject to store availability. To qualify for this offer you must present your flybuys card at the time of purchase. No rainchecks. 2,000 BONUS POINTS will be collected when you Spend $50 or more (after savings and discounts) on David Jones, Only 1 Visa or Country Road gift cards in one transaction at Coles between Wed 1 Feb and Tue 7 Feb 2017. When purchasing Only 1 Visa, a $5.95 purchase fee will apply in addition to the value of the gift card. BONUS POINTS can only be collected once per flybuys household. flybuys' privacy policy applies. Standard flybuys terms and conditions apply and are available at flybuys.com.au.

The T&Cs above (bolding mine) says once only.

So Visa offer for 2000 bp for $50 is only........in one transaction at Coles between Wed 1 Feb and Tue 7 Feb 2017.

So are people buying the $100 cards with a Visa(I Know Plat Edge for points best)....still a saving after cancel out the $5.95 fee....
Is it once per transaction(Swipe of Flybuys) or once per flybuys card?
Self Service works for payment?
Is this different to a "MC" offer?

It is once per Flybuys account
The percentage yield is higher on a $50 but as it is a once only, $100 will make sense for most Edge holders

There are NO MORE $100 cards. all Sold out national wide.

This is very unlikely. I was at a Coles 5 minutes ago and saw at least 30 of these.

Update: Mrs Ralph just contacted me to tell me she saw at least 20 cards at another Coles store and purchased 5 of them.

So absolutely not correct to claim that these are sold out nationwide. The only way this could be known is if Coles made an announcement about it.

I bought two $100 Only1 cards on separate Flybuys accounts yesterday, they had heaps left. Bought four $100 Coles Mastercards yesterday also, they had tonnes left too, I'm heading back in this afternoon to grab some more.

^ lol at above post.

Umm yeah I checked 6 different Coles in Sydney all sold out. Are they keeping them behind the desk?
