Gift Cards at Supermarkets

My god. I just paid most of my rates online using 20 Visa only1's. Took 40mins! Plus the time to make two trips to the supermarket to purchase them. A lot of repetitive busywork for 6000 points.

Respect for the warriors that do this in much larger quantities. Not sure I could be ar$ed again....

Your really only making 4000 as you would have got 2000 anyways if you paid by a regular Visa/MC card in one transaction.

You do get better at it

One tip I would say is NOT to do all 20 at one time. Do a couple when you have a spare moment. Then some more later on.

For postbillpay I've written a macro. Enter card number and cvv. Rest is coded.
30sec per card now

sounds like the restriction on using eGCs to buy Visa1 hasn't been fully rolled out yet and it might still be worth risking the time and energy to do this?

It is 3 ppd with Edge vs 0.5 ppd directly with Postbillpay in my case plus like anything else we do for points i really enjoy those 20-30 mins as Metime relax time

I wish. I have only the Citi Signature which doesn't pay any points for government spend or BPay

We have 2 CCs that pay points on all rates so I don’t bother with wasting my life using little cards. My idea is have CCs that are suitable for a purpose.

Dragon and World both work. Give 0.825 and 0.66 return respectively if you hold Dragon for the year anniversary.

Apart from the 2-3 days last month where the Edge had a glitch and all transactions were posting as 1ppd, haven’t had any issues since.

My last GC purchase on 18/09 yielded 3ppd on my Edge.

yes seems to be back to 3ppd.
they have also credited me the points (after me asking) for those wrong days
