So who will be first to pull the trigger and wander to Woolworths?

I bought $500 2 days ago at 5% off :(

There are people on OzBargain who have said that they tried their newly acquired Big W vouchers at Woolworths last night and they DIDN'T work.

The next question is then- can you buy a plastic WISH in BigW using an eBigW card?

I think that will depend greatly on the cashier. I'm pretty sure you can't buy WISH cards from the self service, only the cards with a fixed value.

There are reports on here and on OzBargain that you can "convert" egift to plastic Wish card.

I've been able to buy plastic WISH with eWISH in NSW WW stores but never tried BigW

This includes self-service

We have our Christmas wish card order in progress thru Woolies direct as it is for many cards at 5% off.

Did you need staff member assistance to load the gift card?

Yes but they never stick around to see you pay even if they knew to care.
At a standard cashier, have frequently bought plastic WISH with eWISH but always with some other items

Self service is probably easier in this respect, but does BigW have self service?

Just wanted to check the situation with the Flight Centre Gift Cards. Does this mean that I could use my AMEX Edge to buy a lot of Flight Centre Gift Cards - to redeem on a European tour (e.g. Globus or Insight). Which means that I can pay for the tour with my credit card effectively, plus get 3X points. The catalogue says that a $150 gift card is $141.75. Can buy 10 cards per transaction.

I buy WISH gift cards with 5% discount through the Entertainment Book using my Platinum Edge and get 3x points and then use the gift cards to buy Flight Centre gift cards at Woolworths. Woolworths Macquarie Park was all out of Flight Centre gift cards when I went yesterday, somebody cleared the lot out of the weekend.

Remember not to rely on CC travel insurance when doing this

Short answer "YES".

As kcoulson mentioned a number of WoW stores are out of $150s but do have $75s.

I picked up a pile at Town Hall and covered our 2016/17 family Europe return.

Now thinking of Oct Hawaii outing (rapidly thinking as today is last day).

Have 1 x $150 card left to activate and thinking of doing a tour of 3 local WoW stores to pick up what's available.

Using cash rewards (free to sign up) you get 5% off egift cards for WoW.

If you buy <$1,000 they seem to get issued by WoW within 60-90 minutes. More than that can take a day.

So I'm going to buy $450 FV x 2 Wow a couple of times.

If not TC cards left then I'll use it for shopping (and future offers) in the coming months.

So, is using the egift cards (from entertainment book) a dodgy thing to do (that is, I should you be extremely discrete) or can you confidently do this transaction at a checkout?

If I buy the egift cards in smaller (but multiple) amounts from the entertainment book, will that speed up processing? More likely to make them think that I was up to something dodgy?

I haven't read anything in the t&cs which say you can't buy gift cards with the WISH cards. I've also been getting Woolworths Rewards Dollars on my card and my wife's card too. Got $10 each from the catalogue barcode and $10 each from the $5 promotion for spending over $30 this week and last week.
