  1. Buy 4 in one transaction (if you don't mind calling over the attendant)
    4 x $157.50 = $630. This will give you 4 x $31.50 = $126 in Woolworths Money.
  2. Buy the last one. You should get $120 off this shop.
$157.50 - $120 = $37.50. This should give you $31.50 more Woolworths Money + the $6 remaining = $37.50 remaining on your card to use later.

Bought plenty of it. no issue at all. in fact the limit 5 GC per rewards card is incorrect. can be use for more than 5!

Limit of 10 for JB cards, per transaction, in my experience.

Do you mean when buying them or redeeming them? When buying, yes there's a 10 card limit.

If you mean redeeming, then you may just have been (un)lucky. I paid for a Surface Pro 3 ($1600+) using only $50 gift cards. They only needed me to show ID using more than 5 GC... my receipt was 2 metres long!

Buying. I also bought a surface with them - actually, two surfaces consecutively!

Maybe I'm slow but I'll have to get someone to explain this to me in VERY basic terms.

Do you mean the Flight Centre gift cards? See post #811 - save 20% offer closes March 29 (tomorrow).

If so, use 5% off WoW gcs (via cash rewards say) purchased with suitable points earning cc to buy FC gcs at '20% off' but 5% activation fee) = slightly more than 20% off any travel purchases plus points earn on cc.

Only issue is finding enough FC gcs AND having a number of EDR accounts (say one for each member of family) so that each can get 5 x 31.50 WoW dollars.

As long as you shop at WoW then no problems.

Also, as I have for each cc issuer, get OK that cc purchase of WoW gcs to buy FC gcs to buy flights will get cover for cc travel insurance - then big smiles all around.

For example one daughter about to push button on Nov-Feb 17 Eur rtn in Y for under $1,200 BEFORE discounts via FC. Second year of this but first at 20% discount offer.

After discounts (and covered by cc travel insurance via supplementary card) her Eur rtn (admittedly on Thai, wouldn't cough up $200 more for Qatar and A350) will cost her less than $1,000 all up.

Hey guys,

The nearest place to the CBD of Sydney that had them available is Woolies Balmain. Buying 4 at once and then another one worked a treat so thanks for the tip

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get it on 5% discount. What are chances of refunding on AMEX Edge and then rebuying once I have the gift card? I guess I could do that after the promo when they have more stock.

Thanks,
Paul

I finally got round to using one of the 'perfect gift cards' (they were on offer with 10x Flybuys at Coles in January) in Aldi. Worked OK for the drink I bought with no CC-surcharge. As expected not able to get cashout.

As a follow-up to 'the perfect gift card' story, Aldi won't let you part pay with them-has to be be under the amount on the GC. Worth bearing in mind if there is another offer

Does the FC gc's have to be used all at once or can there be a residual balance? eg if a fare costs $125 and I have a $150 gc, do I still have $25 left over or is all gone like the Jetstar vouchers?

Yes, part pay is OK and even a benefit.

The FC shop redeems the entire gc and issues you a credit which starts the 12 month expiry clock from scratch again (so they have assured me).

Today is the last day of this offer. WoW is taking a LONG time to issue the 2nd purchase of e-gift cards from before midday yesterday!!!!!!

Not happy Jan.

Deal which came via Flybuys email today. Launder Edge points to MC.

Could be targeted...

Probably still not worth the accompanying $5 fee.

The bonus flybuys looks like they cover the fee on the $100 card. 3-4 MR/$ on MC spend is pretty appealing
The tricky thing with prepaid cards is juggling the balances as many retailers won't let you split a transaction. Requires a bit of organisation to make sure you don't lose small residual balances

Can these cards be used to top up the Coles Reloadable card?

Received this offer many times ... it's neutral as 10K FB points is worth, at best, $5 which is what the $100 car costs (i.e. $105 all up) - never taken it up.

Better to buy Woolies Wish cards with a direct 5% discount.

There are a lot of places (thousands?) that take MC but will not take a WISH card.
