Not sure if this is common knowledge but found out today that buying third party giftcards at WW doesn't earn WW$

Gave it a test last week and found the same. It also doesn't qualify towards spend X to get Y offers.

I had thought the policy might have changed when third party gift cards all of a sudden started generating fuel dockets (I don't recall them doing so). But yes points definitely not credited.

You still get base flybuy points at Coles with GC's and even fuel dockets.

Plasma TV just gave up the ghost (might repair it later). I had ~$700 worth of JB GC from coke rewards and another $150 Coles GC also from the end of Coke rewards. Coincidently on ozbargain a Sony 55" with some not bad specs at JB is on sale. So after some after combing of multiple JB egift cards (JB only also 5 giftcards per net transactions) this morning and a trip to Coles this morning to pick up another $500 of JB GC's minus the $150 Coles GC (multiple small denominations), I will only have to pay $366 for my new TV.

So 500 flybuys and 787.5 QFF (DJ AMEX) points.

Managed to use a chunk of my cards up today, on my strata fees - through DEFT.

Pity deft keeps holding $1 on each card, leaves me with a bunch of cards with $1 balance until the hold falls off

Have also noticed that eWISH cards from Entertainment Book seem to arrive a fair bit more quickly than via Cashrewards-I've switched back to EB now the extra CR cashback has gone

They didn't hold anything on my cards? I was sure to factor in the surcharge into the total amount, to make sure it went through for exactly $100

Noticed this morning at jb hifi a sign saying ID required for use of GC's more then $375 in value and A maximum of 5 GC's, due to a rise in fraudulent use.

And to deter people like me who buy phones with 50x $30 gift cards (it was all woolworths had in stock at the time!)

The other half bought a Westfield gift card from WW the other day and got charged a $5+ activation fee. Which is counteractive to the 3 point incentive with the plat edge! How do the cards work favourably? I have bought ewish cards online previously without any fees. Or is it just non-WW brands that attract the fee.

Prepaid Visa and Mastercards, Westfield and Flight Centre gift cards all have an activation fee. I don't buy them unless the activation fee is waived or reimbursed like in the recent Coles Prepaid Mastercard Father's Day promotion.

These occasional (targeted) promotions are where members report getting the best value for sure.

does woolies stock visa prepaid cards like the coles one? i have some bills to pay and want to use up the 5.5% off egiftcards

Woolies loadable mastercards cannot be loaded with gift cards; I have tried and failed.

Same here they're on the ball at the checkout and can't load them at the self checkout. Eftpos only :(

Got the bonus points from the Coles Father's Day Gift Card promo. The transactions were dated yesterday 29/9.

Ive received a 6% WW eWISH offer from Entertainment Book. Ends soon: midnight 5th Oct
