Gift Cards at Supermarkets

Cove, I buy the Woollies egift cards from cash rewards (most recently at 5.75% off face value) in $500 maximum face value and they have an app I can load them into. Very easy to keep track of and pay with at the checkout.
Might Coles have something similar? I've only ever bought physical DJS & MYR cards. Interested if they have something similar.

There's no app for Coles gift cards. The Woolworths Money app which tracks Woolworths Wish cards is great as others have mentioned.

Woolies and David Jones at discounts are easy. Coles on the other hand are hard to get so all I was wanting to do was get 5% off on $4,000 of Coles gift cards for the olds. Downloading 80 egift cards was a bit of a shock at $50 a pop.

AGL have a source of Coles gift cards at 4% off if you are an AGL customer.

5% with 1% CC surcharge (or pay by bank deposit for 5%).
$500 Coles gift card costs $480 = 4% discount.

Yes, as per post #1344 it's a 5% discount not a 4% discount which is available.

$500 Coles gift card costs $475 = 5% discount.

I bought $4000 of discounted gift cards but the Coles ones came as $50 a time.
Based on having to print off 80 e cards I split it up to other big retailers who had $200 and $100 cards and then the rest to Coles. JB HiFi,Myer, Apple and David Jones ones can go into Christmas stockings so I probably find the $200 saving may be gone.

Relatively easy way to solve the issue.

  1. Download the C egcs pdfs or links.
  2. Take a screen shot of the bar code and PIN # section then using a free editior (like Paint.net) create a single A4 page with around 12 (2 columns of 6) of the bar code and screen shots.
  3. Print out this one A4 page in b&w and fold like a concertina (back and forth so it is like a spring) - 5 folds side to side.
  4. Then fold in half.

Then stick the roughly cc size folded paper in a card holder to use at the Coles checkout.

Alternatively you can just cut each one out to use at a time (from your sheet of 12) - and tape it to an expired Coles plastic gc. (If you are worried they may lose the piece of paper worth thousands...

Much easier for using at self-checkouts etc.

I really only do the Coles gift cards at 5% off for the olds. Thought I had a winner until we found the e vouchers were in $50 amounts.
Our AGL account is a business account and they said No Deal.
I guess I should be happy with the $200 saving.

From Wednesday, 2,000 points for $50 or more on Coles Mastercards (and a few other Gift Card types). Appears to be open to all - it's in the Coles Catalogue.

Only one per FB account, though :(

People should note there's a $5+ charge for activating EFTPOS/credit card type gift vouchers.

Worth it for $10 back. Just checked it for myself; they're limiting it to one per household, which is a shame.

But I'll still take it :)

...if there are any in stock that is.

I've been checking multiple Coles for the C prepaid mcs and still none of the $100 have been sighted - not before the last points offer and not since. Beginning to feel discriminated against.

The $100s haven't been replenished at either of mine and the $50s have recently disappeared. There are only $50 EFTPOS ones available at my two.

$100 "perfect" Eftpos GCs have not been easy to find at my local WWs of late either. Plenty of $50 of course :)

Same here. Haven't seen any $100 mcs since Father's day promo. No idea why there are always plentiful of other cards but never $100 mcs.

Would have been good if no limit of cards.. then 2000 points would be worth it even for the $50 cards.

Cant wait for more FB promo please. I have used up all my Coles Prepaid MC ( Moms and Father days ) :D Have 500k FB points now
