Question: do Perfect GCs count towards your total spend for, for example, 4 week spending targets on FlyBuys promos?

Question: do Perfect GCs count towards your total spend for, for example, 4 week spending targets on FlyBuys promos?

I think it does, from 2 indicators:

I got FlyBuys points for the full dollar value of gift cards during the last promo e.g. $500 cards + $25 card fee = $525 paid at check out, and I got points for the full $525

After that promo, the cash register printed out receipt, asked me to spend $2xx for 4 weeks for like 500 bonus points (WTF).

These 2 incidents tell me they calculate the full face value of gift cards you buy.

You earn points on GCs but they don't activate coupons, dockets or multi week challenges. Additionally they push up future challenges.

and unfortunately another data point for the worst of all worlds:
  • Only points awarded were for the offer (eg: 1,000 FBs).
  • Counted in determining future spend offers
  • NOT counted in arriving at meeting spend targets (logic not required obviously)
  • Some grey areas with 3rd party (so not C prepaid mcs for example, but also not FC gcs other than offered bonus) gcs. Some reported success and others a dismal outcome.

Thanks all - won't wait until next week to use the voucher then. Appreciated

From Wednesday, 2,000 points for $50 or more on Coles Mastercards (and a few other Gift Card types). Appears to be open to all - it's in the Coles Catalogue.

Only one per FB account, though :(

really the net effect is $4.05 and 150mr points. Or am i meant to do
Something else with the 2000fb points besides convert it to $10 Coles money ?

I'm Saving mine to redeem on etihad I think the $10 redemption might be too tedious but might be useful for paying for GCs for the next FB MC GC offer assuming you can get your hands on decent supply.

Holding out for a bonus % transfer to etihad. FB if you're listening pit would be an awesome Christmas gift!

With the announcement from Flybuys point to Velocity, Buying coles prepaid gift card from coles is no brainer. Current promo 15% bonus points too.

That's great
It's kind of like double dipping :-)
Whats this about 15% bonus points?

Flybuys members can convert their existing hoard of points into Velocity points from today, with Virgin Australia tempting such transfers by offering a 15% point bonus through to November 30, 2016.
However, the wider network of Flybuys partners will make it easier for Velocity members to collect points – up to a maximum of 138,000 Flybuys points (equivalent to just over 60,000 Velocity points) per year.

Hoping we'll have one more better supplied MC GC promo this year. Nearly spent all of mine.

Flybuys rep said no SCs though from giftcards including third party.

As always with giftcards would rather have evidence than rely off the T&C's or someone who is probably just reading of the same T&C's. As we know there is far too often a variance between what they say and what they do!
