my maths aint so great, i know its not exactly 10%, its probably something like 10.11% ,

how do you get more than 5% wish discount,
cash rewards is 5% exccept for the odd time when they raise it to 5.25%
groupon somettimes have 5.75-7.5% off
big w seem to have more 7.5% sales at groupon than wish gifr cards

There is an Amex statement credit offer on at the moment which gives a 20% discount. You spend $50 at Dan Murphys, on an e-Gift card, and receive a $10 statement credit. These e-Gift cards can be used in Woolies.

I saw that bigw often have 7.5% off, can you buy wish gift cards at big w?

Im sorry but I can't say.

When I posted information about 10% off WISH cards around a year ago I copped a torrent of abuse, was doubted, ridiucled and berated by AFF members.

Similar and even greater discounts are still available.

s
o when the next sale comes along, ill be stocked up well with amex cards!!

I wonder what the record of the number of amex cards by one person is ;)

I know Coles are on top of it, But a few people here have reported success at Woolies, although I'm sure the loophole ( if it does exist) will be closed.

Coles are not on top of it. I used a coles voucher to buy 1 x the perfectgift card over the last weekend.

Are we talking about a Coles Gift Card? Vouchers disappeared years ago.

The terms 'gift voucher' and 'voucher' are synonymic. I specifically refer to paper based gift vouchers. Yes they must be printed (this is part of the terms of the deal). You get a barcode voucher that you scan at the checkout. They are available here at a 5% discount:

34 is the figure I have seen on ozbargains.

I purchased a Ulitmate Kids gc last week with Coles GC.

Couple of months ago, bought JB GC's with Coles GC.

As with many things what is possible, is not synonymous with what T&Cs say.
Repeatedly stating the T&Cs only draws more attention to advantageous loopholes.
If its not in the T&Cs you can't complain if you get knocked back even if someone else doesn't
Complaining about 'unfairness' makes the loophole more likely to be closed
Multiple AFF threads become quite heated over this concept

I find stores make you feel like a criminal when you use gift cards to buy items, even normal groceries. A big chain store is harvey normans, especially when you buy with amex and gift cards wtf is up with that. Jealous much?

And the best way to ensure that happens is to keep talking about it on a public forum!

I don't have this issue in big stores, especially Coles/WoW, because the employees don't genuinely care about profit. However at the other end of the scale, my local coffee shop has stopped accepting amex because they 'got charged too high fees and can't afford it'. I can kind of understand that but I feel no sympathy for the listed corporations.

I believe HNs are franchises, so in that situation it's one person or a family trust feeling the pinch. The Vpay deal for example, would have lost them money, so I can understand them getting angsty.

So is there anything more that you can do than to get your wish/Dan's cards for a 5% or more discount and then using these cards at self checkout to buy other store gift cards such as jbhifi for points as well as promos?

A Kmart auto guy was very suss when I paid using a CM gift card. He mumbled something about fraud and checked the card number against some kind of company communication on his computer. Otherwise, I've never had any issues or made to feel like a criminal.

ok so to get good benefit, youd buy 5% discoutn wish gift via CR etc. and then for example use the $100 credit that you paid $95 for, and buy a $100 jbhifi card for example, and thus youd get 3points Amex MR vs 1 points Amex MR if going directly to jbhi

to get even more benefit , do the above but wait until say 5% jb sale. so essentially you get 10% off? right?

can you hypothetically use this jbhifi card and buy a Wish gift card at the terminal?

I'm not sure about this last bit? You want to buy a Wish card using a jbhifi card?

I did the same on Tuesday of this week.

Seems some people here have no idea how this has worked for MANY years.

How could that possibly work? Why would Woolworths accept a JB card for payment???????????????

yes I agree, it sounds weird in theory, but like the fact that they sell jbhifi cards means they have some sort of reciprocial agreement

did you know that you can even return coles goods and woolworhts?

eg ive done that by accident over the years, taken a small coles good back to woolworths and as long as it wasnt a perishable or a coles branded good, they just refunded it
