Right, I don't need my butt kicked up any more. Signed up, though payment may not be as prompt, given current situation. :-|

The competition will close April 11 at midnight AEST.

Many thanks to Markis10 for his great generosity!

Our first team is up and running, so to speak, and it would be a great shame if we don't get a few more people to make a second team complete. It is fun and possibly even good for you.

I've extended the shut off date to April 11th (just like a Qantas sale!) so if you want to join in please complete the Registration Form in the third post of this thread before then.

We look forward to a fun and rewarding time.

Anat0l, you have mail.

Count me in if there's a spot left. Have completed the registration so where do I pay?

Since you're trying to get a second team up, I've filled in the registration form..

For the price, shouldn't you all just buy a FitBit Ultra for $90 from Amazon, and set up a "team" in Fitbit's portal?
Amazon.com: Fitbit Wireless Personal Trainer: Health & Personal Care

Fitbit will do all the tracking automatically for you, and their web portal is 10 times better than GCC.

That looks pretty cool, I've bought one. Is their any requirement to use the GCC supplied pedometer (i.e. does it store and upload data?)?

I'm really interested to see how many steps I do a day before the GCC starts, I might need to do some early 'training' to increase my daily step count.

I have also paid up. Looking forward to the 2012 challenge. I have been walking regularly this year, but time now to start increasing the distance in preparation.

I am sure you could use your own pedometer if you wanted. Participants do get a couple of pedometers as part of the deal from GCC. They are average quality but on the four occasions I have now done it they have lasted fine through the 16 week period - except when I stood on one :( . They do not upload, you need to enter the details to the site.

Many thanks to the new enrolments vetrade and oz_mark). We now stand at 6 in the second team and we need 7. The first team is all processed and paid up (highly commendable gentlemen and ladies!) and I'll pass the payment arrangements to team 2 via personal email just as soon as No 7. commits.

Maybe we'll get to three teams by close off on April 11th? With the incentive mentioned above by Markis10, who knows!

Count me in too!
I'm signed up...
This has come along at just the right time - and the chance of winning the RA referral is an added incentive!

Two teams up and running. That is terrific! Welcome to misstam who completes Team 2.

At this point teams are set up in the order people enrolled. That can change as we get nearer the start so if anyone has a strong preference to be with anyone else, please let me know.

Fifa you are the first person in team 3. We need some more now!

We also need some suggestions for team names. So far, AFF Floppers and Pegusus have been suggested. Please let me know any further thoughts.
