Wagga Wagga and Kurri Kurri get shortened to Wagga and Kurri. But Woy Woy is never Woy…

A: “Where did you live?”
B: “Woy”
A: “Just curios”….
Reminds me of a friend who is a school principal.

Was at a function and introduced her to someone new. The conversation went like this:

Other person: “what do you do?”

Principal: “I’m a principal”.

Other person: “Whereabouts?”

Principal: “Iona Primary School.”

With a look of surprise the other person then said “oh wow, which one?”

My principal friend has to spell out I-o-n-a.
